Sam?

I'm very glad Acme is a part of Inferno but has anyone ever done a Sam
port? I really like Sam for some kinds of editing, even more than
Acme, depending on what it is.

I'm just now learning inferno and trying to create an XML library
[yeah, yeah I know... I hate it too... but I've got a ton of stuff
that has to use XML, including an archiver format I've been working on
here and there].

Inferno Programming Book

Hello,
Does someone in the list know about the availability of The Inferno
Programming Book? When Amazon.com began to sell the book announced it
will be available by July 12th, now they say it will be available by
august 22th.

Thanks,
Rolando

native?

Just checking...
has anyone yet managed to get a copy of 4th ed. running on a PC, bare, with graphics? With IDE hard disk?
I'd be keenly interested in just hearing a yes, but even more in knowing what you used as a kernel
configuration file...

Thanks in advance!

3rd Edition or 4th Edition Inferno? I've never heard of 4th with working graphics... I certainly never got
it to work.

the difference?

Cool! Where does one find the VESA support? Am I just
blind or is it not part of the VN distribution? And
RIO? I had no idea that there was an Inferno port of
RIO.

I've done a build that does run with IDE and even runs
the new user space kfs. There was a bit of work getting
it all set up because stuff like part weren't fully ported
to Inferno the last time I checked.
