Wow

  L'attenzione del mondo si sposta su di voi, ragazzi... oltre ad un
messaggio di Marco su freebsd-hackers, oggi ho trovato un link a
www.freesbie.org in un thread su Slashdot. Infatti il traffico del sito ha
visto un'impennata, ultimamente.

the subject already says it.
We (giggel and riggs), two german students of electrical engineering,
at the moment staying in the sunny, hot Perth, Australia, think that
FreeSBIE is a much-promising, interesting project, and we'd like to
donate some of our spare-time to the project.
First, I think we could do a german translation of the homepage and the
README file (if wanted), and hopefully some helping in further
development of the scripts...
For example, I think this project should go the way to use its
make.conf not only for the kernel but also for the world to ensure that
there are no strange conflicts produced by someone's strange make.conf.
But those things can be discussed later :-)

So, what do you say? Do you like us to join the team and doing some
hacking/testing work?

Quando si riprende?

Bei risultati ragazzi, ma come visto piu` volte siamo ancora indietro
rispetto a quello che abbiamo in testa. Ora che son finite le vacanze,
vogliamo rimetterci in moto? Direi di dare una aggiustatina al sito e
cominciare ad esaurire la TODO list. Un requisito fondamentale da
aggiungere e` far funzionare il tutto sia con la -STABLE che con
l'attuale -CURRENT, perche` credo che sara` molto utile un cd di prova
della 5-RELEASE, per i restii che vogliono testare senza mettere a
repentaglio il sistema. Fate un fischio quando ci siete, chi volesse
adoprarsi per le ritoccatine al web suggerite da Warren Block, e cmq per
il sito in genere, mi faccia un fischio, il sito attuale e` in php, e la
modifica di sezioni o lingue e l'aggiunta delle stesse e` abbastanza
semplice. Appena ho tempo rispondero` ai tedeschi del precedente post
per la versione tedesca del sito. Per la riorganizzazione dello sviluppo
attendo un vostro feedback.

Update.sh

Sentivate la mancanza di uno script per aggiornare le versioni dei pacchetti installati sul livecd?
Provate questo script in attachment (prima regolate la var FREESBIEBASEDIR all'inizio dello script ed
eseguitelo come root).

Ottima cosa :) Quando hai tempo fai un commit sotto files/tools, magari
dandogli un nome piu` esplicativo o creando una directory
