Re: bin/162661: [patch] ftp(8) is giving up on IPv6

Synopsis: [patch] ftp(8) is giving up on IPv6

Responsible-Changed-From-To: freebsd-bugs-≥bz
Responsible-Changed-By: bz
Responsible-Changed-When: Thu Dec 1 08:45:45 UTC 2011
Responsible-Changed-Why:
Temporary take as I have a way larger patch to also not compile
IPv4 support in addition to fixing this problem that needs to be
upstreamed.

We had an initial (small) patch to quickly work around this ftp
problem before the last big input referenced from
http://wiki.freebsd.org/IPv6Only .

A system with only one gmirror provider dose not affect this problem.
The machines with mirroring slice level and having multiple gmirror names
panic during shutdown. It occurs both i386 and amd64 system.
i386 system shows:

>Description:
I made a patch to enable Camellia-XTS on GEOM ELI (geli), which based on
AES-XTS. Since XTS is considered much stronger disk encryption mechanism,
I also would like to provide XTS mode for Camellia in addition to Camellia-CBC.
Will you import this patch to the base if you can?

I see such message in log:
kernel: pid 12516 (firefox-bin), uid 1001, was killed: out of swap space

It would be very easy and useful to amend it with the process sizes:
kernel: pid 12516 (firefox-bin, size=769M, res=503M), uid 1001, was killed: out of swap space

It's good to know if the process was run away one or not.
