Updated: syslog-ng-2.1.1-1 (and -2)

I have updated syslog-ng on cygwin.com to the latest stable release
2.1.1. The Cygwin version is built from the vanilla sources.

There's a -1 release for Cygwin 1.5.25 and, for 1.7 testing folks,
a IPv6-enabled -2 release.

Please read /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/syslog-ng.README for postinstall
information. I also recommend to visit the /usr/share/doc/syslog-ng/
directory and the man pages "syslog-ng" and "syslog-ng.conf".

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions.

Updated: catdoc-0.94.2-3

catdoc has been updated to fix some issues reported by Bernt Røskar Brenna.

There's now a /etc/catdocrc file with the entry use_locale=no to
disable the automatic
output locale detection, which is on cygwin always falsely US-ASCII,
where it should be 8859-1.
If your locale is detected correctly set use_locale=yes or remove this line.

catdoc dumps Word, Excel and Powerpoint files contents.

Updated: gnuplot-4.2.4-1 - A command-line driven interactive function plotting utility.

Hi

A new version of 'gnuplot' has been uploaded to a server near you.

DESCRIPTION:
============
Gnuplot is a command-line driven interactive function plotting utility
for UNIX, MSDOS, VMS, and many other platforms. The software is copyrighted
but freely distributed (i.e., you don't have to pay for it). It was
originally intended as graphical program which would allow scientists
and students to visualize mathematical functions and data. Gnuplot
supports many different types of terminals, plotters, and printers
(including many color devices, and pseudo-devices like LaTeX) and is
easily extensible to include new devices.
Gnuplot handles both curves (2 dimensions) and surfaces (3
dimensions). Surfaces can be plotted as a mesh fitting the specified
function, floating in the 3-d coordinate space, or as a contour plot
on the x-y plane. For 2-d plots, there are also many plot styles,
including lines, points, lines with points, error bars, and impulses
(crude bar graphs). Graphs may be labeled with arbitrary labels and
arrows, axes labels, a title, date and time, and a key. The interface
includes command-line editing and history on most platforms.

Updated: {apr1,libapr1,libapr1-devel}-1.3.3-1

A new version the Apache Portable Runtime is now available for
download.

NEWS:
=====
This is a new upstream release.

Please see

  http://www.apache.org/dist/apr/CHANGES-APR-1.3

release of this package.

DESCRIPTION:
============
The mission of the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) project is to
create and maintain software libraries that provide a predictable
and consistent interface to underlying platform-specific
implementations. The primary goal is to provide an API to which
software developers may code and be assured of predictable if not
identical behaviour regardless of the platform on which their
software is built, relieving them of the need to code special-case
conditions to work around or take advantage of platform-specific
deficiencies or features.
