Version 14.0.4 features the following improvements over 12.9.2:

Major improvements and corrections to simplification,
general cleanup of everything, and four useful command options were added:
"simplify sign", "solve verify", "derivative nosimplify", and "factor power".

Cygwin build changes:
minor fixes

About:
Mathomatic is a command line, highly portable, general purpose symbolic
math program that can solve, simplify, combine, differentiate, integrate,
and compare algebraic equations. It can do standard, complex number,
and polynomial arithmetic. It is extremely easy to use and has pretty
colored, easily readable display of equations.

Updated: mathomatic-14.0.4-1

Changes:
Added "derivative nosimplify" command option, which does no
simplification after differentiating.
Fixed the taylor command to work with larger expressions with more
derivatives by simplifying better.
Fixed for less floating point round-off error.
Author's email address changed to "georgegesslein <at> gmail.com".
Fixed to simplify sign variables better, sign^(1/3) now simplifies to sign.
Added "solve verify" command option, which verifies the results of the
solve command.

Updated: clamav-0.93.1rc1-1

Experimental versions of the cygwin clamav packages (The Clam
AntiVirus - GPL anti-virus toolkit)
has been updated to 0.93.1rc1-1.
There is also a new seperate package clamav-db for the two big database files.

0.93.1rc1 is a maintenance release with bug fixes for issues raised
with 0.93 for example
portability problems and other issues found by internal audits. It
also features improved
handling of PDF, CAB, RTF, OLE2 and HTML files. ´╗┐Further information
is ´╗┐ included in the
release notes.

Cygwin Changes:
============
none.

clamdscan is still broken - at least for me.
I couldn't check so far why it hangs, but I wanted to bring it out
even without this tool. Please use clamscan instead so far.

About
==========
Clam AntiVirus is an anti-virus toolkit for Unix. The main purpose of
this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment
scanning). The package provides a flexible and scalable multi-threaded
daemon, a commandline scanner, and a tool for automatic updating via
Internet. The programs are based on a shared library distributed with
the Clam AntiVirus package, which you can use in your own software.

Updated: perl-5.10.0-4 [EXPERIMENTAL]

The cygwin perl packages perl and perl_manpages have
been updated in the experimental branch to 5.10.0-4.
   Click on [Exp]

This looks like to be the final 5.10.0 revision, just the rebaseall
problem is outstanding, and the cygwin-1.7 utf-8 pathname support.

Important Changes since the last perl-5.10.0-4:
* Removed -Dusesitecustomize for performance reasons
* Win32Core.o is now included in libperl to avoid libtool linking
   problems for modperl and other packages.
* rebaseall is probably required.
* Some more blead patches have been tested and backported, in detail:
   [perl #55162] File::Spec Cygwin/Win32 case_tolerant improvement,
         Significantly speeds up Module::Build (e.g. 5min to 10sec)
   [perl #55160] Fix cygwin mount test
   CYG14 Dynaloader
   CYG15 static-Win32CORE
   32813 ExtUtils::Install update
   33239 unpack-in-scalar-context
   33807 sv_setsv_flags crash with gv
   33937 sort magic crash

perl-5.10.0 cygwin notes:
-------------------------

This release is binary incompatible with the previous 5.8 releases, but
compatible to all future 5.10.x releases. That's why we named the main
perl DLL /bin/cygperl5_10.dll and not cygperl5_10_0.dll.

Updated: postgresql-8.1.4-2, postgresql-8.2.5-1 [EXPERIMENTAL]

postgresql 8.1.4-2 is promoted from test to current and
8.2.5-1 is added to test via the cygwin setup.exe
mirror network.

What's new:
   http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/static/release-8-1-4.html
   http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.2/static/release-8-2-5.html

Before you upgrade a postgresql package to a new new major or
minor version (7.4 => 8.0 => 8.1 => 8.2), be sure to dump all your data
before!
With the new package you will not be able to access your old databases.
=> http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/static/app-pg-dumpall.html
Minor subrelease updates (e.g. 8.0.4 to 8.0.7) can safely access the
same database.

Be sure to read the README.cygwin and the postgresql documentation.

I recommend to install the new 8.2 right away, available as [test]
version from setup. I use it successfully since Nov 2007.

I'll keep 8.1.4-2 a while as curr, and will update to 8.2.5-1 as curr
in about two weeks.
8.2.6 and 8.3.x don't compile out of the box, and I'm rather working on
the new features of 8.3, and I do not trying to fix 8.2.6 or 8.2.7.

Warning:
8.2.5-1 /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql has a minor bug in "initdb".
Comment out the line which does mkdir ${SOCKETDIR}
if you use this convenience script.

Updated: wget-1.11.3-1

A new release of wget, 1.11.3-1, is available, leaving 1.10.2-2 as previous.

NEWS:
=====
This is a new upstream release. A summary of upstream changes is
attached. This version is built for cygwin 1.5.x, and thus does not
support IPv6 (I will also provide 1.11.3-2 for people testing the eventual
cygwin 1.7.0 release). See also the package documentation in
/usr/share/doc/wget-1.11.3/.

DESCRIPTION:
============
GNU Wget is a file retrieval utility which can use either the HTTP, HTTPS,
or FTP protocols. Wget features include the ability to work in the
background while you're logged out, recursive retrieval of directories,
file name wildcard matching, remote file timestamp storage and comparison,
use of Rest with FTP servers and Range with HTTP servers to retrieve files
over slow or unstable connections, support for Proxy servers, and
configurability.

UPDATE:
=======
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the
http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
Save it and run setup, answer the questions and pick up 'wget' from
the 'Web' category.

The HDF5 technology suite includes:

    * A versatile data model that can represent very
complex
        data objects and a wide variety of metadata.

    * A completely portable file format with no limit
on the
        number or size of data objects in the
collection.

    * A software library that runs on a range of
computational
        platforms, from laptops to massively parallel
systems,
        and implements a high-level API with C, C++,
