Updated: OpenSSH-4.3p1-1

I've just updated the version of OpenSSH to 4.3p1-1.

This is an official new upstream release. The official release
message is missing a Cygwin specific patch:

- In ssh-host-config, always add a dependency to the tcpip (network)
  service when creating an sshd service on NT.

The official release message:

====================================================================
OpenSSH 4.3 has just been released. It will be available from the
mirrors listed at http://www.openssh.com/ shortly.

OpenSSH is a 100% complete SSH protocol version 1.3, 1.5 and 2.0
implementation and includes sftp client and server support.

We have also recently completed another Internet SSH usage scan, the
results of which may be found at http://www.openssh.com/usage.html

Once again, we would like to thank the OpenSSH community for their
continued support of the project, especially those who contributed
code or patches, reported bugs, tested snapshots and purchased
T-shirts or posters.

T-shirt, poster and CD sales directly support the project. Pictures
and more information can be found at:

New Package: gail-1.8.8-1

The following package has been added to the Cygwin net release:

*** gail-1.8.8-1

GAIL provides accessibility support for gtk+ and libgnomecanvas
by implementing AtkObjects for widgets in gtk+ and libgnomecanvas. The
GAIL library is a GTK+ module. For example, if the module is loaded in
a program which calls gtk_widget_get_accessible() for a GtkEntry an
instance of GailEntry is returned. This module is normally used with
the atk-bridge GTK+ module from at-spi to allow an assistive technology,
e.g a screenreader, to query or drive the program.

Updated: OpenSSH-4.3p1-2

I've just updated the version of OpenSSH to 4.3p1-2.

The new 4.3p1 release of OpenSSH contained a configure bug which
prevented a correct evaluation of utmp header files. In turn,
the utmp and wtmp entries created by sshd are bogus with sshd
from the openssh-4.3p1-1 package.

The new 4.3p1-2 package has been created with a patched configure
file and creates correct utmp and wtmp entries again.

And now, enjoy the official release message of 4.3p1 again:

Updated [test]: monotone-0.26pre1-1

Version 0.26pre1-1 of monotone has been uploaded as a test version.

monotone is a free distributed version control system. it provides a
simple, single-file transactional version store, with fully disconnected
operation and an efficient peer-to-peer synchronization protocol. it
understands history-sensitive merging, lightweight branches, integrated
code review and 3rd party testing. it uses cryptographic version naming
and client-side RSA certificates. it has good internationalization
support, has no external dependencies, runs on linux, solaris, OSX,
windows, and other unixes, and is licensed under the GNU GPL.

Version 0.26 will change the way the monotone database is internally
organized: it's the long waited switchover from "changesets" to
"rosters" that, AFAIK and understood, should be smaller faster better
and also with more growth potential.
Bad news is that this needs a complete conversion of any monotone
database and a change in the netsync code: the correct way to do it is
that every developer commits its work to a central repository, the
repository use "monotone db rosterify" and everyone updates to 0.26
before being able to interact once more.

A more detailed description of the upgrade process is on the official
website: http://venge.net/monotone/NEWS.pre

mailing list at: cygwin <at> cygwin.com .

New package: httptunnel-3.3 -- Tunnel data stream in HTTP requests

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION
===================

Home page: http://www.nocrew.org/software/httptunnel.html
License  : GPL

Creates a bidirectional virtual data stream tunnelled in HTTP
requests. The requests can be sent via a HTTP proxy if so desired.
This can be useful for users behind restrictive firewalls. If WWW
access is allowed through an HTTP proxy, it's possible to use
httptunnel and, say, telnet or PPP to connect to a computer outside
the firewall.

Updated: readline-5.1-3, libreadline6-5.1-3

A new release of readline and libreadline6, 5.1-3, is available for use,
replacing 5.1-2 as the current version.

NEWS:
=====
This is a minor bugfix release. It incorporates the official upstream
patch 2 (initialization of line wrapping properties), plus a patch to fix
display bugs in vi search mode.

DESCRIPTION:
============
The readline library will read a line from the terminal and return it,
allowing the user to edit the line with emacs or vi editing keys. It also
allows a history feature, for editing previous entries, making command
line interfaces easier-to-use and more intuitive.

libreadline6 provides the .dlls needed for readline and history expansion
for dynamic linking in other programs, including bash and gdb; it is
required for a minimal cygwin installation. The 6 in libreadline6
distinguishes incompatible API changes made to the prior libreadline4 and
libreadline5 libraries still available on the mirrors. readline provides
the documentation and the static libraries required for static linking;
you should only need it if you plan on compiling an application that links
with -lreadline or -lhistory.

UPDATE:
=======
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the
http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
