Updated: pango-1.6.0-1

Pango has been updated

NEWS
====
Cygwin: Use GLib 2.4.5, latest gettext, libiconv & binutils releases.
General: This is a stable release providing new functionality as
         compared to Pango-1.4, while maintaining source and binary
         compatibility. Notable improvements in Pango since version
         1.4 include:

 * Ellipsization in PangoLayout; that is, for truncating
   lines by replacing text at the start middle or end of the line
   with an ellipsis (...)

 * Custom font decoders; applications can specify how characters
   are converted to glyphs for particular fonts

 * Support for setting a transformation matrix on a PangoContext
   and transformed rendering support for the FT2 backend

 * Support for OpenType fonts in the Hebrew and Thai shapers

DESCRIPTION
===========
Pango is a library for layout and rendering of text, with an emphasis on
internationalization. It forms the core of text and font handling for
GTK+-2.0. Canonical website: http://www.gtk.org/ & http://www.pango.org/

New packages: t1lib-5.0.2-1/t1lib-x11-5.0.2-1 - Library for generating character- and string-glyphs from Adobe Type 1 fonts

Hi

The packages t1lib/t1lib-x11 are now available with the Cygwin distribution:

 * http://site.n.ml.org/info/t1lib/ (Homepage)
 * http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/libs/graphics/  (Download location)

DESCRIPTION:
============

t1lib:
======

sdesc: "Library for generating character- and string-glyphs from Adobe Type 1 fonts"
ldesc: "t1lib is a library distributed under the GNU General Public Library
License for generating character- and string-glyphs from Adobe Type 1
fonts under UNIX. t1lib uses most of the code of the X11 rasterizer
donated by IBM to the X11-project. But some disadvantages of the
rasterizer being included in X11 have been eliminated. Here are some
of the features:

- t1lib is completely independent of X11 (although the program
  provided for testing the library needs X11)

- fonts are made known to library by means of a font database file at
  runtime

- searchpaths for all types of input files are configured by means
  of a configuration file at runtime

Experimental package: postgresql-8.0.0cvs-1

I've made the latest snapshot of postgresql-8.0.0 available for
download. This is a test release to test several new features and gain
more feedback to be fixed upstream.

PostgreSQL is an advanced Object-Relational database management system
(DBMS) that supports almost all SQL constructs (including transactions,
subselects and user-defined types and functions).
This is based on the current beta3 plus some more late fixes, a CVS
snapshot from 2004-10-02, which fixes most but not all of the cygwin
issues.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
==============
tablespace doesn't work yet. (Just a minor symlink directories problem
not yet solved)
This is a new 8.0 feature, similar to the oracle tablespace.
http://developer.postgresql.org/docs/postgres/catalog-pg-tablespace.html
It specifies the physical layout for a table, implemented as simple
symlink on directories. To share a db across discs probably.

contrib/earthdistance has been temporarily disabled. (It was not in
previous packages neither)

tcl has been removed upstream.

It will not work on Win95 due to remaining cygserver problems. This will
hopefully be fixed by the next upcoming cygwin release.

Updated: mhash-0.9.1-1 (mhash-devel removed)

I've taken over mhash before it would be pulled from distribution,
because the previous package was dependent on a MSVC runtime DLL
(mingw build). This is fixed now. All tests PASS.

It should arrive at your local mirrors soon.
