English survey half-way point peek into results

Hi All,

At about the half-way point in the English survey, we have
399 responders who have completed the survey. We have
far fewer than that for the other languages. I encourage
you to advertise the survey in any non-English forums you
participate in. If your desired language is not listed yet,
check back in a day or two. All surveys will run for at
least 30 days.

I thought it would be interesting to peek into some of the results
keeping in mind these are preliminary-

We've heard from at least one person in

Maybe, the certification group can do the job easily ... just by putting
online the survey.

For example, the french translation is available since nearly 2 weeks,
but you never put it online. I see the same thing for nearly all other
languages when I look at http://www.bsdcertification.org/media.htm

I'm a member of the french translation team, and I personnally sent the
'done' email to Patrick Tracanelli. I never received any information
about the fact that the french survey is or will be online. If this
translated survey is online, I do not even know where, nor since when.

Note to Patrick Tracanelli :
please remove me from fr-fr-translation <at> bsd...etc
Thanks.

Hi David,

We have not been able to get anyone else to check the translated survey.
That is the reason for the delay.

Before putting each translation survey live, we have someone who speaks
that language take the survey and check it for any questions which aren't
clear (not all questions translate well into other languages). We have a
few translations in the queue, waiting for such feedback. I apologize if
there was any miscommunication and translation members were unaware of
this delay.

The links for each available survey and translated press release regarding
the survey can be found at http://www.bsdcertification.org/media.htm .
Each translation will be available for a one month period to be fair to
each language.

I'll make sure Patrick is aware of that. Sorry to see you go.
