lino and lifelines

Just installed Fink on Lion and am looking for lifelines but no package found but there is one

I could probably just use CVS in Xcode but am not sure of the syntax.

As that table shows, lifelines is not yet available on Lion.  Existing 
packages didn't get moved to Lion automatically, so it needs a manual 
transfer.  Maintainer is cc'd in case he knows of a reason to not move 
it (or update its deps on 10.7 to libgettext8).

Once it is available on the 10.7 distribution, a selfupdate (fink 
selfupdate) will make it available for users to install (fink install 
lifelines).

Reopen bug 1511981-init.sh references undefined variables

Hello Folks,

	I keep getting bit by this old bug:

bash - /sw/bin/init.sh fails to set undefined variables - ID: 1511981

As reported there, a number of variables in /sw/bin/init.sh are checked via

if [ -n "$VAR" ] ; then . . .

which fails when the user has "set -u", "set -o nounset", or "shopt -o -s nounset"

costabel wrote "I am closing this now; it doesn't look like anyone wants to change anything there." when he
closed it marked "Wont fix"

Please reconsider.

The patch supplied in that bug report works (but I haven't tested under traditional sh).  

Tthis patch is an alternative, as suggested in the comments.  It saves the nounset option value, clears it
for the duration of init.sh, then restores the old value.
