Re: imlib unstable install

That kind of error usually means a file or files fails to build, but the
compile process keeps going.

Re: imlib unstable install

Oops--broke off too soon. Try doing a "fink rebuild" on the gtk+
packages.

no /usr/X11/bin/X in the new xfree86-4.3.0?

Perhaps I didn't upgrade properly. I don't have anything that looks like
the X server binary any more.

Does anyone know which package I forgot to install?

Is this Jeff's new experimental package? AFAICT it uses the "official"
xfree86 source from the 4.3.0 release, right?

The xfree86 4.3.0 release has a bug that makes the compilation of
XDarwin break, see for example
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=1904103

It needs the following patch:

--- programs/Xserver/include/Imakefile.~3.21.~ Wed Jan 17 23:36:56 2001
+++ programs/Xserver/include/Imakefile  Fri Feb 28 15:00:03 2003

Hisashi: Yes, I can confirm this. Apparently, XDarwin didn't build.
I'll look into it.

Hisashi: I've added Martin Costabel's patch to the package in
experimental/jswhit. That should fix it. Thanks Martin!

Larry,

you quoted some words of wisdom here:

Other than that, I don't quite see what you wanted to say :-)

No, an out of date file, like the message says. If it were a missing
build dependency, you never would have finished the build.y
