gopenmol issues

The current gopenmol packaging fails to build here
on x86_64 fink due to the absence of...

--x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib

on the ConfigureParams line. Also, the package even when
built on x86_64 fink doesn't run properly due to incompatibilities
in the code with tcl/tk 8.5 so this package should only build
on the i386 and powerpc architectures that still use tcl/tk 8.4.

Re: Keep a legacy version of ocaml around?

By the way, I'd also happily apply a backported fix for the UI
compilation problem (if there is one) to the ocaml 3.11.1 package.

I don't happen to know of one, unfortunately.

hdf/dx on gcc44 and x86_64 fink

One set of packages that need porting to gcc44 and x86_64 fink are
hdf and dx. The current hdf package should be updated to 4.2r4 which
has APPLE_INTEL support added. Also the existing Debian package's patches
apply cleanly and could be used to support building with gfortran. The
only issue to be addressed is sorting out how to fix hdfi.h to allow
x86_64 fink to build properly. Regarding dx, Debian has a patch to
fix the gcc43 build issues so we should be able to move both of these
packages to gcc44. FYI.

Emacs 23

Is someone planning to package emacs 23? It's now stable (according
to gnu.org).

Peace

Re: [Fink-beginners] Can't build pine?

Or re-alpine, which is a fork of alpine (and is also in Fink).
