libnc-dap3 updated

I've finally gone ahead and committed nco and its updated versioned
dependencies to 10.4/unstable. Because libnc-dap3 didn't have an
install_name change, I didn't create a new package name for the updated
version. However, I did leave the prior version (3.5.2-1001) available,
in case of upgrade issues.

scipy-py25 ranlib error

I'm getting a g95 ranlib error when scipy-p25 builds, requiring

sudo ranlib /sw/bin/../lib/gcc-lib/i386-apple-darwin8/4.0.3//
libgcc_eh.a

Re: scipy-py25 ranlib error

Please just ignore this. I think it was a red herring. It was fine
on my other machines.

Sorry.

What the InstallScript could do:

1. cp the /sw/System/.../perllocal.pod to
%i/share/podfiles/perllocal-pidgin.pod
2. rm -rf %i/System

And set UpdatePodfiles: Yes. Or does this only work for Type: perl?

What I'd more worry about are the many "No"s in the configure summary.
In particular:

GMANE Message Loss

Gmane has a server hiccup a week or so ago. They're healed, but some
mailing-list messages may have gotten lost from their archive from
during their downtime, and others from then might be arriving on their
news-server out-of-order. Sourceforge was not plagued here, so you'll
probably only notice or care if you use gmane's interfaces to the
mailing lists. That is, users <-> lists.sf is okay, but lists.sf ->
gmane oops'ed.

Not sure, hopefully womeone better versed in the perl-isms can chime in.
Would these installed perl files be a suitablefor splitting off a -pm
perl module?

packaging a kext?

Hi,

I'm preparing a package for vpnc (http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/
~massar/vpnc/) which depends on tuntap (http://www-user.rhrk.uni-
kl.de/~nissler/tuntap/).

I'm struggling to package the tuntap kext correctly, i.e., install
the kext such that everything is in the correct place and the kext
loads at boot time. The packaging tutorial is silent on how to do
this - can anyone give me some pointers?

Thanks,
Lars

Check out the fuse package. That's the only other kext-using package
that I know of.
