{{-sound-}} template should be {{sound}}

Hoi,
Sabine told me that the -sound- template was not well named as it is not
a header. She is absolutely right it should be {{sound}}. I am in the
process of fixing this.

Thanks,
    Gerard

What to do when a language is not in the current ISO 639 code

Hoi,
There are many languages that are not in the ISO 639 codes. There were
suggestions of using the ethnologue codes for these. As there is also a
ISO 639-4 code, I think it would suggest that we use this one in stead
for use within wiktionary.

ISO-639-4 is currently in the RFC state (request for comment).

Thanks,
    GerardM

tr:wiktionary is now off first character capitalisation

Hoi,
I have asked for the tr:wiktionary to be changed to have first character
capitalisation turned off . Shaihulud was happy to do it for you. New
articles can be created with the proper case.

This is the second wiktionary today to change over :)

Thanks,
    Gerard

* http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Мухши (not Tamil)
* http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Catal_Ke (not Bihari)
* http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Denmark (not Malayalam)
* http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/air (not Malayalam)
* http://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Ingraji (not Marathi)

This seems like an awfully difficult problem to police. We are
basically at the mercy of the person who puts up this kind of material.
Although I'm very active on the English Wiktionary I seldom touch the
translations except for matters affecting formatting. This is because I
have absolutely no idea whether most of these are correct. Often these
translations are imported from some other source without any attempt at
fact checking whatsoever; some people seem to take pride in having the
longest possible lists of translations. Having persistently dead wrong
information can affect credibility even more than rampant POVs. At
least with a POV issue there is a recognition that there is more than
one way to look at a subject.

A possible solution might be to forbid the inclusion of translations unless
    1. There is an active Wiktionary in that language, or
    2. A source has been cited for a particular translation.
Are there any other fairly easy ways for us to fact-check this kind of
information?
