[Bug 13937] Correcting edit summaries (if own, last, & recent)

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13937

--- Comment #3 from Cacycle <oq9pscb02@...> 2008-05-31

The proposed mechanism has been implemented in most online forum systems (such
as phpBB) postings and has proven its usefulness and safety for years.

[Bug 14368] New: Moving a page and its subpages to a subpage yields an extra move

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14368

Summary: Moving a page and its subpages to a subpage yields an
                    extra move
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.13-svn
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Page editing
        AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@...
        ReportedBy: mike.lifeguard@...

"One" has been moved to "One/test"

    * The page One/test has been moved to One/test/test.
    * The page One/two has been moved to One/test/two.

So "One" is moved, then moved again because it is a subpage. So this needs to
check subpages /before/ moving anything so that if creating subpages is part of
the moving process they are not moved more than once. Here we have created a
double redirect by moving One -> One/test -> One/test/test erroneously.

[Bug 14369] New: Talk pages of subpages are not moved if the top-level page has no talk page

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14369

Summary: Talk pages of subpages are not moved if the top-level
                    page has no talk page
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.13-svn
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Page editing
        AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@...
        ReportedBy: mike.lifeguard@...

"One" has been moved to "One/test"

    * The page One/test has been moved to One/test/test.
    * The page One/two has been moved to One/test/two.

This did not move "Talk:One/two" ("One" itself had no talk page, so there
wasn't the option to move talk pages too). But there must be a check for talk
pages of all subpages and there must be the option to move them too.

Perhaps have a checkbox which appears when you check "move subpages too" that
is "move talk pages of subpages too"

Alternatively, Make it a single "move all subpages and their talk pages"
checkbox.

Well, it's mainly a question of writing an interface for it, yes. Notice,
though, that it can't be sorted sensibly (i.e., by date), by either the API or
the usual interface, without some rethinking of how things are stored/indexed.

The main issue is that OASIS files can contains malicious content. Letting
these be uploaded without validation would be undesirable, and as of yet
(AFAIK) there is no OASIS validation interface for MediaWiki.
