Summary: A user' home page should be editable only by the user

Initial Comment:
Was it intentional to make the user's home page editable by all? Or is it too difficult to restrict editing to
only the user who "owns" that page?

Summary: Watch subsection of a page

Initial Comment:
Sometimes I'd like to add just a subsection of an
article to my watchlist, so I'd be notified only when
that section changes. This would especially be useful
for the "Village Pump" page, so you could watch just
one topic while ignoring the rest.

This isn't really feasible with the present database structure.

Summary: change remember password checkbox location

Initial Comment:
Hello,

In the default theme when we log in the checkbox
asking if we want to save password is at the bottom of
the page.
Can't it be put just under the password input box ?

[ wikipedia-Feature Requests-831686 ] Ability to watch only article or only talk, not both

Summary: Ability to watch only article or only talk, not both

Initial Comment:
While usually, when one wants to watch an article, you
also want to watch its associated talk page, I find
that this is not always the case; there are some
discussions I'd like to monitor without monitoring the
article. It would be reasonable to make it so clicking
the "Watch this page" link on a Talk page would result
in only the talk page being watched.

The edit watchlist page would have to be modified
somehow. Each article could have a blue arrow/twisty
next to it, like on the "Recent changes page", and
clicking it would give you two checkboxes, one to stop
watching the article page and one to stop watching the
talk page.

Summary: Quick diffs

Initial Comment:
Our diff function currently falls over when a very
large page is changed to a completely different very
large page. It just hits the script execution time
limit. I suggest that if too many lines have changed in
_DiffEngine::diff(), it shouldn't call lcs to get a
character-by-character diff, it should just return a
line-by-line diff, as if there were no common
subsequences between any of the altered lines

Initial Comment:
Is it possible to remove Vandalism from the history.
Wikipedians are alert enough to remove any vandalism
immediately after it has ocurred. If there was a facility to
remove it from the history, this would be a bonus.

The feature should be made available only to sysops so
that it is not abused to remove a genuine edit from the
history.

Summary: Indicator to show that history list spans multiple pages

Initial Comment:
Looking at the History list for an article I have no way to
know whether to navigate to the next page or not.
Usually in discussion forums having multitudes of lists we
have an indicator like messages 20-40 of 250, and then
we have "next 20" or "previous 20" enabled or disabled
according to our position.

In the history list, all the numbers links and the "next"
links are always enabled, even if there is no history listing
in the next page. While it may require a lot of
programming to provide the feature of exact numbers as
mentioned above, it'll help if one indicator is provided.

For histories that span more than a page, the "last" link in
the last line should be enabled. For histories that belong
to only one page, the "last" link should be disabled.
