FYI.

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Jonathan Gray <jonathan.gray <at> okfn.org>
Date: 2008/4/4
Subject: [ORG-discuss] Open Knowledge London Group
To: undisclosed-recipients

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say that I'm in the process of setting up an Open
 Knowledge London Group:

   http://okfn.org/wiki/LocalGroups/LondonGroup

We're aiming to meet up later this month.

The general purpose of the group is to meet up informally on a regular
basis to discuss open knowledge projects and issues.

If you'd be interested in coming along, or being kept in the loop about
any of this, please subscribe to the mailing list and put your name on
 the wiki page!

 (Apologies for cross-posting)

 Warm regards,

 Jonathan Gray

Small Wikipedias noted by Ofcom

Ofcom has done a report on broadband uptake in the UK. They felt the
Irish Gaelic, Ulster Scots and Welsh Wikipedias were worth mentioning
in particular.

Re: Small Wikipedias noted by Ofcom

Odd that they make reference to the "Ulster Scots" Wikipedia even in the Scottish report. Is there even a separate Ulster Scots/Ullans Wikipedia? I can't find it on http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Complete_list_of_language_Wikipedias_available just the standard Scots one.

It is likely to do with how language speakers are divided up for
official purposes.
