Ich weiß, dass ein bei WMDE bereits einmal einen Anlauf gegeben hat,
einen Buchscanner anzuschaffen. Kann mir jemand sagen, wer sich hier
ehemals darum bemüht hat, es geht darum, bestehende Erfahrungen zu
diesem Thema (und auch die Gründe, warum kein Scanner angeschafft wurde)
im Hinblick auf eine neue Sachlage zu verwerten.

wiki loves monuments: all countries monuments in a single database ...

Hi everyone,

I just realized we now have all countries participating in Wiki Loves
Monuments in the big monument database[1]! In total we now have just
over 400.000 items in there.
This took a lot of effort, but I'm happy we reached this milestone. This
doesn't mean we're done. We still have a lot of things to fix and maybe
more sources to add (other languages or parts of countries).

Talking about the database for WLM...

Is there a way to suggest changes to the official data from the Confederation (e.g. wrong geolocation
data)? - It would be nice to have a place to indicate this kind of problems and to feed them back to the
Confederation if they are interested...

Hi Beat,

So far, people did send me the questions or problems and I forwarded them to the Confederation (to be
honnest, so far there was no error reported but only clarifications requests).

This solution has been choosen in order for me to be used as a filter between the requestors and the
authorities and it works quite well. I was able to handle "requests" like the complains about the color of
painting on a house or the questions about decisions to select such or such monuments on the A or the B lists.

If you discover any problem, just feel free to send it. They are really quick and efficient to reply.
