Indeed, I did not know before your email...

I mainly voluntereed to do some work with the French-speaking press;
if someone thinks I should be part of the board, I'm ok with that. If
you have enough people and there is no special reason for me to be
part of the board, I'm ok with that too (and would prefer it that
way...).

Otherwise, if I don't become a member of the board, I can be an
auditor without problem, since I have competences in the field (I can
also give a hand to the treasurer if needed, but would not apply for
the position, being already treasurer of another association, and I
don't think it would a good idea to have the only Romand among German
speakers doing all the accounting in French ;-)

I have updated the corresponding page on the wiki.

Re: Swiss Wikipedia Day 2006 - Invitation

I have suggested this solution ("Interwikimedia day") to italian
wikipedians. A lot of people are enthusiastic of this proposal and
find it very interesting, also because we have a large number of
bilingual members (not only in italian Switzerland, but also in
Südtirol).

The problem is that in June there are planned other three meetings and
it is reasonable that some members could choose only a meeting.

PRELIMINARY BOARD RESOLUTION 2006/01

Representing the Preliminiary Board of Wikimedia CH (consisting of
Nando and me, elected/appointed on the meeting in November, first time
in action...) I'd like to notify you of the Resolution 2006/01
(Preliminary Board) (Appointments and IT). It can be read at
http://ch.wikimedia.org/wiki/Board/Resolutions/2006/01
This mailinglist replaces the members assembly as mentioned in the
bylaws for the time before the foundation, so you may mention
objections here and if necessary, a vote may take place on the
resolution.

OTRS queues and accounts for Wikimedia CH

Hello everybody,

Wikimedia CH got its own OTRS queues and mail adresses.

Napa and me already have an account at the OTRS of Wikimedia, so we both have
access to the queue "info-ch". It's internal mail adress is
"info-ch <at> wikimedia.org". All mails to info <at> wikimedia.ch, info <at> wikipedia.ch
etc. should be redirected to there.

Michael: You should contact JeLuF to get an account at the OTRS. Other who
would like to get access to the OTRS contact Napa or Michael so they forward
the requests.

The Alemannic Wikipedia has also an adress and queue named "info-als".

Greets,

Manuel

If we have this now, we should use it asap. So: Manuel, it seems to be
unclear (to me and Nando), which adress we should list in the form you
told us to send to you. However I would be glad if we could soon use
info <at> wikimedia.ch, as more and more things will come, that can't be
dealt with mails to archived mailinglist. So is it possible for you,
Thierry, to already enable the forward info <at> wikimedia-ch -->
info-ch <at> wikimedia.org because I think, some time might still pass
until Manuel can take over wikimedia.ch and wikipedia.ch for hosting.

Wikipedia-Day, speakers

There was still an ongoing discussion here on this list about whom to
invite as speaker. Now as far as I understand, Jimbo won't be
available, as he is in Göttingen at that time. Proposal: We could also
invite another European board member (Angela or Anthere) and ask them,
whether they would want to give a speech. What do you think of that?
BTW: Robin: Have you got a definitive answer from Prof. Meyer?

Yes, it could be a good solution.

Re: Wikipedia-Day, speakers

Ich befürworte den Vorschlag und finde es toll, was alles läuft.
Und wenn es eine Arbeit gibt, die auf Deutsch erledigt werden kann,
helfe ich gerne mit :-)
