           Summary: Omitted 'areas' section
           Product: XSLFO
           Version: 2.0 Working Draft
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: XSL-FO
        AssignedTo: Tony.Graham <at> MenteithConsulting.com
        ReportedBy: dave.pawson <at> gmail.com
         QAContact: xsl-editors <at> w3.org

2.4.1.2 The "extension-region-end" Region
has no 'areas' sub section.

Suggest

The extension-region-end specifies a viewport/reference pair that is located on
the "end" side of the region-body, meaning that the before edge of the
extension-region is aligned with the before-edge of the region-body and the
end-edge of this region is parallel to the start-edge of the region-body, at a
distance specified by the "distance"attribute.

"The approach taken in this draft is to use the flow map to express that
multiple separate flows are to be synchronized in layout. A single flow is
designated as primary, and contains synchronization regions mrked up to draw
content from the other, secondary flow or flows; this secondary content will be
rendered alongside the main flow at the synchronization points."

1. s/mrked/marked/
2. "Draw content from the other?" How does a region 'draw content' from a flow?
Is it the case that the first and second flows are connected or linked such
that when the primary content is laid out, the connected content is laid out in
the secondary flow 'side by side' with the first?

"fo:number creates a number sequence to be processed by the XSL-FO processor
and generate a list of sequences in varies of area in the XSL-FO area tree."

Suggest simplifying, possibly
"fo:number requires the XSL-FO processor to generate a number for use in the
output"

Otherwise I find the statement unclear.

[Bug 11652] New: 2.8 Numbering

http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11652

           Summary: 2.8 Numbering
           Product: XSLFO

          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux

        ReportedBy: dave.pawson <at> gmail.com
         QAContact: xsl-editors <at> w3.org

2.8.2 states "There’s no imperative state for an fo:number, i.e. it’s not a
counter or an variable. "
Yet 2.8.4 states "The "reset-level" determines the level that the fo:number’s
internal state in FO processor needs to be reset to its reset-value."

There appears to be some conflict here?
suggest either define 'imperative state' or remove the statement from 2.8.2
since clearly an initial value and 'state' is required.
