[PloneDavis-Discuss] New Page on Davis Plone Site: Davis-Area Plone Sites

Greetings Davis-Area Plone/Zope/Python Users;

I've added a new page to our web site that lists examples of Plone (or
Zope) sites in our region:

http://www.zugod.org/sites

Please contribute! I'm sure I've missed many good sites.

If you've already got a login for the site, feel free to edit the page.
If not, and you want to contribute, just join the site. You may also
e-mail contributions to me or the list.

Steve

I added a few sites and just wanted to note that Kupu was not playing
nice with the style of the page. It inserted <dd> lines that I didn't
want and would close tags early or late. I ended up editing the html
because it was being rather frustrating.

Re: [PloneDavis-Discuss] New Page on Davis Plone Site: Davis-Area Plone Sites

Thanks for the contribution.

The DL implementation just doesn't work very well in WYSIWYG mode,
except for just quick typing in. I often fallback to html when doing
display lists.

[PloneDavis-Discuss] forcing comments/notes in zope

I want to force users to make notes when they edit stuff in Zope. If
they break something I can always go back through the history to the
last working version, but I don't want to dig through code. I'd rather
force the user to add some notes which will give me an idea what they
changed. The notes should be associated with each object revision, not
in-line comments. Is there a way to add this functionality to Zope?

Thanks,
Charles

Re: [PloneDavis-Discuss] ZUGOD-Discuss Digest, Vol 5, Issue 3

Charles,

Try "iterate", which offers basic versioning and checkin/checkout/locking features and enforces the
attachment of comments to each version/revision. iterate has a few dependencies (CMFEditions,
CMFDiffTool, ZopeVersionControl), that are fetched when you grab the latest version of iterate from
SVN. Google plone.org for iterate for more info.

Kamal

(apologies for crossposting)

Friends-

Plone Conference 2006 is just around the corner (or at least it sure
feels like it to me!). In any case, early bird registration closes in
just over a week on August 25th! So now is the time to register if you
want to save $50!

 http://plone.org/events/conferences/seattle-2006

We'll be announcing the full line up of speakers and sessions on Monday,

It's going to be a pretty amazing line-up, including some amazing
training sessions, practical how-tos, demonstrations of leading-edge and
just-plain-useful tools for Plone, inside information on Plone 3.0 and
the future of Plone, and case studies of Plone "in the wild" around the
world.

best,
jon
