Are you interested in providing a copy for review? I did a review of
Xandros 1.0 for the websites of the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald;
have a look:

http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/03/10/1047144900720.html
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/03/10/1047144900720.html

Give me a call on 9601 2868 during business hours on Monday if you are
interested.

Cheers,
Sam

Apologies for sending personal mail to the list

My apologies for sending a personal mail to the list; it was meant to go
to Henry Yong.

Sam,

I wouldn't call this personal mail. I think the links to the earlier
reviews may give people a start if they are considering the later version.
Heck is this email, my response personal? Maybe I would call your email
more commercial, but in the interest of MLUG members enough to not be a
concern IMHO.

OT: ebay customs clearance

Not really linux but I thought maybe some might be able to help me.

I bought a synthesizer for $700 on ebay from canada.

Now it's at customs and I have to either pay a customs broker or
lodge an informal clearance document.

If anyone has gone through a similar thing I'd really appreciate advice,
feedback, etc.

Thankx,

Lex.

Re: OT: ebay customs clearance

I've had to do it and it's not so bad!

Go with the informal clearance you can do it by phone/over the internet
etc etc..

A customs broker will cost you more!!

It's a bummer you most probably got cougfht because the package
was big and obvious!! They may expect you to pay GST 10% on it
unless it was sent to you as a gift of some sort...

Good luck!
