Linux 201 Update: Session 2 Python

Hello All,

  Session 1 was a success! We had 10 people come out and there was some good discussion about using VIM!

  Linux 201 Session 2 will be this coming Monday Feb 13th in LWSN B158 from 7-8pm. The session will cover
Python! As a reminder, old session materials for Linux 101 and Linux 201 can be found online at

  Stop by if you can! Even if you already know everything you want about Python, you can still help other people out!

Linux 201 Update

Hello All,

  The next installment of the Linux series is starting next Monday January 30th at 7-8pm in LWSN B158. The
session will be "Everything you ever wanted to do in VIM", a thorough and hopefully intuitive
introduction to effectively using the VI improved editor. Enough people said they were interested in a
201 session on vim, so it will start our semester off! I have attached a document with the topics and times of
our other Linux 201 sessions which will include: python, iptables, apache, and wine. Those were the
topics that stood out the most from the survey I sent out last semester. I hope to see you there!

Linux 201 Survey Reminder

Hello All,

  Thank you to the eleven who have already filled out the survey. This is a one time reminder in an attempt to get
more entries.

  In the effort to make Linux 201 sessions more appealing to our members, I have created a survey on qualtrics
to ask for people's opinion on a list of topics brainstormed by the Linux X01 team. The survey is very short
(one page), and extremely easy to fill out. There isn't any nonsense about rating something between 1 and
10 or strongly agreeing and strongly disagreeing. Please consider filling out the survey.
