LDAP?

Hmm if this is a crypt(3) password, it is a one-way password: there's
no way back to decrypt it, except by brute force. That's where John
and friends come in.

It would be easier to ask some.user for their password, unless they forgot it.

What do the logs say? Is udp:123 open?

NTP has logs (usually in /var/log/ntp.log.) What does it say?

Cheers,

output of "ntpq -pn" please.

How can i configure my client to update
> every 2 hours without using cron?

Well, you don't. The ntp client updates the time either continously or
up to every 1024 seconds.

Also note that ntp client refuses to run if it's 1024 seconds or more
time difference on the ntp servers.
This can be fixed by running ntpdate first and run ntp next.

Re: mod_authnz_ldap caching my webpage

Hi pluggers,

is there a way to clear my cache on my browser through httpd?

my senario, i have a folder that was secured by mod_authnz_ldap
through .htaccess, when i visit my webpage and it brought me to a
folder which is secure through .htaccess, it pops-up an authentication
and after i close my browser and open a browser again and visit that
webpage, and there authentication is not working anymore. it will only
work if a clear the cache on my browser.

is there any remedy to this? can i configure httpd to clear the cache
whenever .htaccess is read?

Thanks,

jay

Re: SLES10 ntp client not syncing with the time server

guys,

my case was due to time sychronization problem on the vmware guest
machine. by default tools.syncTime = "FALSE" on the guest_machine.vmx.
I just need to enable tools.syncTime and pass clock=pit on the kernel
boot option on the boot loader.

Thanks for all your reply.

Re: mod_authnz_ldap caching my webpage

Hi Jay:

You can try specifying in the web page's meta information that it
should not be cached, e.g.

<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />
