3 ways to record your desktop

I have only used dtk-'recordMyDesktop' and found it to work great. Is
like a screensave, but will also record sound and video from your desktop.

Masters Research

Hi guys,

I know you're a very busy people, but I was wondering whether you would take five minutes of your time to answer four questions I need to ask people for my Masters thesis.

I would really appreciate this :)

Thanks,

Keith

Job Title:

Question 1: What do you understand by the term Information Overload?
_____

Question 2:

Mark R. Nelson defines Information Overload in his article "We have to information you want, but getting it will cost you: Being held hostage by information overload" as

"The Information Age has arrived and with it comes a daily assault of increased information. Society is being held hostage by a battery of information which threatens to exceed our ability to manage it. Information overload costs businesses and individuals valuable time, effort and additional resources...and the cost is rising."

Is your everyday work affected by information overload? If so, how?

Question 3: Have you taken any steps to reduce the effects of information overload at your workplace?

Question 4: Do you have any ideas for a system to reduce information overload in society in general?

Thanks,

Keith

"Don't hinder freedom of access to the internet"

I don't like to bring politics onto this list, but I think it's interesting that an MEP-candidate takes an active interest in protecting the free flow of information on the internet. I hope other candidates are pro-freedom in this and other matters.

http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20090504/letters/dont-hinder-freedom-of-access-to-the-internet

I wonder whether we should formulate a questionnaire to be sent to all candidates, containing questions about OSS and related issues (software patents, etc), and publish the results on our website, to help inform citizens where the candidates stand on issues that we consider important?

I had already handed over my article months ago! Maybe you made a
mistake with names?

Updated aspell-mt spell-checker installer

I have updated the installer for the Maltese spell checker. The word list itself has not been changed, but the installer uses the recommended method for aspell 0.60 so as to install in the correct directories, with the correct names etc.

See:

Re: re Updated aspell-mt spell-checker installer

That would be gr8

I'm not sure whether you should try to get it added to Debian, so that it gets added to Ubuntu, or add it to Ubuntu straight away.
