The download link looks like the following.
http://vp13.video.l.google.com/videodownload?version=0&secureurl=twAAAAErZL8oicvznCeRWowejySlbXqAGXfdLCEHu2WSUXAxykd-O5dCSC0-Is2Mk1QxOfPyP4YWT4Cg4LYm0R-GxpfelVtcfPrAQ5nMUu3WkIoCBnqQzhndfXX_o8zUkbSQZX4DklqNoKR5ykcr_p-TL76_uYBuzqqLRyKiHkC_Vucf8v3oYrNwU0K9TbxPWk1uAilgYzBnpWPEyDSN2kP9pqzSlLL70KJoRIK9Rw1Byw79ztVsO8S0-TJ_5eP7iJK3GQ&sigh=kPc0fnfXyFPI7hpowCkTxUMQ8EM&begin=0&len=5198272&docid=5159636580663884360&rdc=1
On click of download link it executes the following JavaScript.

onDownloadClick("5159636580663884360","http://video.google.com/videogvp/HowToBreakWebSoftwar.gvp?docid=5159636580663884360","/GoogleVideoPlayerSetup.exe",ele("platform").value)"

So If you use a download manager, It says invalid link. I still have to
do more digging to understand this properly.

BSNL Broadband

hi all,
          I use bsnl broadband connection.And yesterday tried connecting my
laptop to the internet.I have set the dhcp and yet unable to connect to
the internet.I do get IP assigned with 192.168.1.4 and the DNS as
192.168.1.1 .but still iam unable to ping any server outside .
What could be the problem ?

i did the same with windows too ,it didnt set the ip at all,all the fields
blank.and when i set the fields myself no change was reflected.could it be
some hardware problem ?

Thanks

Re: BSNL Broadband

Try to give DNS as online IPs (Should be starting from 202 series ) and not
your local Gateway IP( I think 192.168.1.1 is your local Gateway IP).

Then restart Your Network Interfaces : /etc/init.d networking restart

If still it not working, Check your NIC Cable is connected with your switch
properly.

then, Ping your Gateway IP.

Check your NIC links are up by typing ip link show

Check you IP address by typing ifoncifg

LJ Tech Tip: Debugging Scripts

LJ TECH TIP: Debugging Shell Scripts

This tip comes courtesy of Linux Journal columnist Dave Taylor and No
Starch Press. This is (truly) the last in a series Tech Tips on shell
scripting from Dave where he explains the "how it works" factor behind
debugging shell scripts.

Although this section does not contain a true script per se, it's a
good place to spend a few pages talking about some of the basics of
debugging and developing shell scripts, because it's a sure bet that
bugs are going to creep in!

The best debugging strategy I have found is to build scripts
incrementally. Some script programmers have a high degree of optimism
that everything will work right the first time, but I find that
starting small, on a modest scale, can really help move things along.
Additionally, liberal use of echo statements to track variables, and
using the -x flag to the shell for displaying debugging output, are
quite useful. To see these in action, let's debug a simple
number-guessing game.

The Code

  #!/bin/sh
  # hilow -- A simple number-guessing game

  biggest=100                 # maximum number possible
  guess=0                     # guessed by player
  guesses=0 # number of guesses made
  number=$(( $$ % $biggest )  # random number, b/w 1 & $biggest
