C Program Execute problem

Hi ,

  i am sreeram .i compiled c program with GCC
compilation in Fedora linux.I complied Add.c program
like this.
  gcc -o add add.c 
         It created add file.But when iam going to
execute it is not executing.It showing bash command
not found.I changed permissions also.when i copied
this add file to BIN directory It'd executing.after
deleting this file from bin directory it is not
executing.Please tell me how can i execute this
program without copying to bin directory.

Saw this (rather heard this) interview of Greg Hoglund and Gary McGraw,
authors of "Exploiting Software: How to break code".

Terrifically interesting.

Most intriguing sound-bit being,
"Q:- In your opinion, is closed source software, or open source software
more secure?"

For a most interesting answer, rush to time 2:51 of this MP3.
(6:41 is total duration. File size is:- 4.7 MB)
I could have transcribed the answer down myself here, but two things
prevented me.
a) You need to hear the intonations, silent chuckles, smirks, etc. to really
enjoy it.
b) The answer, surprisingly, WAS NOT SHORT, nor what I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE
!!

sendmail troubles


We have two problems with regard to sendmail.

First
~~~~~

miniserv.pl is taking up 75% of CPU in our debian
server.

$ top

 6258 root      18   0  7700 2104 2036 R 77.5  0.2

25324 root      15   0 10264 7340 3040 R 21.6  0.8

No idea what these miniserv.pl and save_feature.cgi are - but either 
they are perl scripts installed on your webserver, and being exploited 
by spammers to send out junk mail, or some spammer hacked your 
mailserver, installed these and is using it to send out junk mail.

squid proxy

Hello,        
         My server is Mandrake 10 CE with eth0 as gateway
and eth1 for LAN.
I have a  squid proxy server running.
I want to route all internet traffic ( port 80 ) through port 3128.
How to do it and if there are any security risks ?

root only internet access

Hello,               
          My server is Mandrake 10 CE with eth0 as gateway
and eth1 for LAN.
I would like configure my server so that internet access
is available only as root.
Other users should be able to use browser for web developement.
Howto to do ?
