Colors

I've (actually Nathan) changed my terminal display to white on black. Now
I can't see the directory listings. I can't for the life of me remember
where the color scheme for terminal is located. I've found a couple
places where I can diddle with the ANSI codes; but I don't think these are
what I need.

Isn't there a list that says "image", "directory" etc and allows color
selection?

5.25" floppies?

I just ran across somebody who's looking to acquire a pile of 5.25" floppies,
used is fine. Do any of you guys have some of these that you want to get rid
of?

daily summary attachment names

Is there any way that the attached emails in the daily summary can, once again, show the topic?

CPLUG_####.eml is very inconvenient when I only want to track specific threads.  This only changed fairly recently.

Thanks

OT: More Free/Cheap Stuff

In my never ending quest to try and get rid of excess hardware, I'm
posting the following spreadsheet containing items I would like to get
rid of.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p3sxTSydKeAExTgjTfRLWWg&hl=en

Everything is first come, first serve. Please email me to reserve an
item. Strong preference given to people willing to come pick things up,
as opposed to wait for the next meeting.

I will continue to post items to this page, and will post again once
everything is on the list for this round.

OT: Career opportunities at Fort Indiantown Gap

The company I work for, Computer Sciences Corporation, is seeking individuals
to fill several positions at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA including one
in my shop.

You can see the listings by visiting this page...
http://www.csc.com/mms/careersus/en/mcs/mcs4380/uploads/jo_us.shtml
...and drilling down through the following in the location fields...
USA
  PA: PENNSYLVANIA
    FT INDIANTOWN GAP

Good luck doing this on linux...It worked for me yesterday, not today though
(for some unknown reason, which I don't have time to figure out).
Flames to /dev/null.

Anyway, In my shop we are looking for a SimTech2. This is someone who repairs
and maintains flight simulators and/or ground vehicle simulators.

Electronics repair and maintenance experience is required; digital, analog,
and power systems to name a few.
Computer experience is required; dos, linux, unix, windows.
Hydraulics experience is desireable.
You must be able to climb stairs and ladders, etc.
You must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD secret security clearance.

Please contact me off-list if you have any questions, or have interest in
pursuing this.

There are other positions listed on the website for this location, but I may
not be able to give you much information about them.

[OT] Looking for practical application of C++ for bro

In my quest to get my family FOSS I've already gotten them using
Thunderbird and OpenOffice. I've also gotten my mom to be a bit of a
geek (still working on it) and now I've begun it for my little brother
by convincing him to take C++ this year in school. He's homeschooled so
he's self teaching out of 'for Dummies'. This has lead to the problem
that I face often and that is, there is nothing practical to put the
knowledge to for us. So I thought I'd ask whether any of you had any
ideas of projects he could do to practice what he's working on (he
specifically mentioned he couldn't think of when he'd ever want to use
an array).

LinuxMCE Website

Anyone know whats going on with LinuxMCE? The only thing that seems
to be working is the main page and any link off of it goes to a blank
page that just says "wiki" which leads to a non-existent page.
