Linux Administrator Opportunity

Hello,

 

Our client is looking for someone with the desire to learn new systems and creatively approach problems within their organization. I was hoping that someone in the group would be interested.

 

Responsibilities:

Admin, Setup and maintain software systems (intranet, backups, public web site and CRM)

Collaborate with IT team to come up with creative solutions

Document problems and solutions

Administer servers and other systems

Respond to improvements and updates to web properties and assist in planning large scale content pushes

Use mockups and designs and turn them into code

Provide overflow support for helpdesk team

Assist in DBA tasks

 

Requirements:

5 years of experience in Systems Administration in a production environment

4 years of experience in Database administration including programming and reporting

2 years of helpdesk experience with Windows and Microsoft

Administration experience with Linux systems and Microsoft severs

JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience and proficiency

Administration experience with CMS (Wordpress preferred)

Experience and proficiency with Python, Ruby, Perl or PHP

Bash scripting experience

Network administration experience (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN and wireless)

DBA with MySQL (Postgres would be nice)

Experience with Windows and Mac desktop systems

 

Preferences:

Web Server experience with Apache and Tomcat

Experience in web development

VoIP management, SAN/NAS, Ubuntu, Jive SBS Clickability CMS, Salesforce, SugarCRM, Adobe Omniture

* Implementing data visualization systems.
