Only the IDES of MARCH is faster than ...

The Expiry of the terms of All of us who serve
on that august body, the ALG-Board of Directors.

I think all active (dues-paying members, and/or those
that WANT to become dues-paying members), should start
seriously considering at least 1 of the following:

Whether they would like to run for an ALG office.
Who they would like to nominate for an ALG office.

and of course if not already a dues-paying member,
pony up 10 dollars US for April 1 2007 - March 31 2008,
and/or 5 dollars US for the remainder of this membership
term. (See the amended ByLaws for explanation of how
membership dues are calculated).

I have thoroughly enjoyed being president (El Presidente)
of ALG for 2 years in a row now, and believe it is time
for a new person to serve as our President.

I don't know how other ALG Boarders feel I cannot speak
for them but I think all my fellow board members have done
outstanding jobs, and any that want to serve another term
in office, more power to them.

I believe the exceptionally hard shoes to fill Carl Perry now
has someone assisting in the role of Sysadmin (Seth), and I
know he has an interest in serving as System Admin so I will be
nominating Seth for that office.

Here here! Even from way over East here in Houston, I've seen the life
and energy that you've contributed, Newton. I'm grateful for the time
you've given to the group.

Last night's meeting

If you missed the meeting last night, you missed an excellent
presentation by Paul Eliot, about how he fixed a Java HP-16 emulator to
work under Linux.

Who else out there has a presentation waiting to be given?
