Re: No Wirless on Suse

Were you building the module when you got the error? If the error is
during building I don't think you would cause any harm.

OT: Merging old version with upgrade

I realize that this is way off topic, but it is for software that will
be running as a guest on a VM with the Host OS being Linux. Well anyhow
here goes. I seem to remember some software that would create a stand
alone install CD of an upgrade package. I have M$ Office 97 full install
and M$ Office 2K upgrade. Currently inorder to install Office 2K I
have to install 97. Then the 2K install removes 97 before installing
itself. This software supposedly would combine the 2 CDs as one
standalone install for 2K, or probably modifies some file on the CD so
that it skipped the verification of the earlier version and just
installs the new & improved (cough, cough, gaag, burwaaaaaaaapppppppp!
(See burping is an art form)) version. I tend to crash & burn my M$
guest OS's a lot.

protocol converter

Hi,

Is there software that runs on Linux that will convert wmv files to
files that run on iPod?

If this does exist, I would like to run it as a cron job.

Thanks,

Financial Software

Am looking for Linux software with which I can replace MS Money.
Realize I could use Calc under Open Office and do csv downloads but that
seems a tad roundabout to simply keep a checkbook and cateogorize
entries. (translated I'm too durned lazy to want to do it that way)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Comcast speeds

Not bad.
I will have to keep an eye on them. The website doesn't have specs.
Just marketing stuff.

I seem to remember at one time gatech throttled the downloads.

Absolutely.  I have been using GC for a while now, and it is great.  It deals with things in a way to help you keep in line.  One recommendation before you start using it, though: read through their "concepts guide" so that you can see how the software works and what it can do for you.  It is an excellent tutorial.
