Well, still not sure what was going on, but I got it fixed. Probably it was a
side-effect of an upgrade. To fix it, I simply found the file KDE uses to
store this information (which was set tot the default), an hand-edited it.

Re: Re: SuSE 9.2 Pro

If you had made it to the Installfest yesterday, there was an advanced copy of Suse Pro 9.2 there.. on DVD or 5
CDs... Ohh a great time was had by all, and there were many wings consumed. Not to mention a plethora of cool
door prizes.

I've never been able to find a SuSE iso available this early.

I'm really pissed. All the European links provide links to updates.
The North American link does not. Who owns SuSE again???

Those of us who enjoyed the Install Fest owe Harold
a HUGE round of applause for all the work he did to
make it a success.

I know I've announced this several times at meetings, but maybe I never put it
on the mailing list. Sometimes I forget they are not the same set of people.
Sorry.

If you would like to review an O'Reilly book, send me the name and ISBN and
where you want to book delivered. I'll ask them for it. There are only two
requirements:
  1. You write a review of the book
  2. You send a copy of the review to O'Reilly. I don't know if they do
anything with it.

You are also welcome to stand up in one of our meetings and did an oral
report, too, but it isn't required.

Okay, I expect to be flooded with requests, now. :-)

OT: new computer components question

I'm working on the mid-life upgrade to my gaming/experimental machine
(which runs windows for games, various linux distros, etc).

This is the machine where noise matters the most, so while I'm at it, I
want to try to make it a little quieter. I'm looking for suggestions for
a power supply (probably a 350w) and fans (at least one 120mm case fan,
maybe an 80mm fan too). Anyone bought any of these lately that you liked?

Mike
