This is the 2nd time I've done a product demo in this UML / reverse engineering space and arrived at the same tool for my use, which is code inspection, code review, code logic discovery.

The tool is simple but it purpose built to allow you to reverse engineer java into class diagrams and then highlight a method and generate the sequence or flow diagram from that point across called classes.  Then Right click and pop up the source.   Bingo!  Rapid understanding of how something works and is related plus the dynamic behavior.    If you need to learn/inspect a code base fast this is the tool.   $295 single seat.  Given this tool multiplies your code inspection productivity by 5x it's cheap IMO.

Thanks for the tips here.

On these tips I tried StarUML, MyEclipse 7.5's UML tool and Enterprise Architect and none will do what I want which is an interaction diagram from reverse engineering.

StarUML is fast and free. It has reverse engineering so it may work for you.

During the last month meeting, it was announced that there are some internship positions coming up with Verizon Wireless. Can you provide details as to when they are opening up and who should we send the resumes to?

Also if there are any other companies where there are internship positions, let me know. A couple of my friends are looking for Internships.

AJUG January 2010 Pre-Meeting Hangout

Dear AJUG members!

The AJUG Meeting meeting is here! So why not miss traffic and spend some quality
time before the meeting kicks off, networking with other AJUG folks?

We will meet on Tuesday, January 19 around 5:00-5:30 at
Garcia's Mexican Restaurant. Garcia's is located in the Georgetown Shopping
Center on the other side of I-285 from the AJUG meeting location
(Holiday Inn Select).

This is just a loose, informal time to hang out and get to know each
other before we head over to the meeting for our monthly dose of
mind-altering Java insights. Why waste an hour working late at the office before you head to AJUG?
Come join us for some good food, good beverages, and good fun.
