SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description & Candidate's Profile
PROJECT SCOPE: Project located in Colombia.
JD SCOPE: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning
and executing a large-scale Agro-Industrial project in Colombia. A key
responsibility includes coordinating the Project from its initial steps to
completion assuring all the requirements of budgets, time schedule and
quality are successfully fulfilled .
Accomplishment of these goals shall comply with all corporate policies and
procedures, while conducting all job-related activities with integrity and
adherence to the company's high standards of business conduct.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead the planning, structuring, execution and implementation of
all the phases of the Project assigned, assuring that the set of Project
objectives and targets are met within the time schedule, cost and quality
required.
· Guarantee the follow up, commissioning and closing of the Project
through applying the procedures established in the typical model of project
execution by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar.
· Assure that the Project is executed according to the
specifications and technical standards pre-established.
· Verify, and continuously follow-up that the structure and cost
components of all works contracts, goods and services are executed within
the Project Budget.
· Lead the implementation and update the integrated planning of
information assurance, communications, HSEQ compliance, Risks, Management,
technology transfer, procurement data and quality control of the Project.
· Assure that the Project meets all legal and environmental
regulatory norms within the model of Quality Assurance provided.
· Present all Progress Reports to the Employer and relevant
committees and coordinate the proper attention and actions to the
requirements derived from the Project, Employer, governmental control
agencies and third parties as needed.
· Prevent labor conflicts, syndicates, communal and legal issues
during the execution of the Project by promoting solutions to all existing
or developing issues.
· Execute audits of the Project Contracts.
· Assure the capitalization of the Project and the integrity of the
information generated in the Project according to the policies provided.
· Assure the most effective execution of the Project through the
implementation of ¨Best Constructive Practices¨ obtaining the benefits
expected by the Employer.
· Provide advice and support, if required, to other projects the
Employer is executing.
* Develop , modify project plans as needed to ensure excellent
execution of project within timelines, budget and other requirements as set
by senior management
· Develop and maintain contacts and positive strong relations with
relevant parties to obtain and provide information that will ultimately
assist in the accomplishment of the project at the highest standard and
exceptional results
· Responsible for contracting with qualified contractors and parties
to ensure company's best interests are represented, maintaining ongoing
relationships through personal contacts
· Act as liaison between Senior management and all related parties
and contractors (internally and externally) , to ensure a customer-oriented
approach toward achieving cost-effective results at the highest quality
· Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key
internal and external contacts and customers.
Experience
Demonstrated successful record and experience in management of large
projects of industrial type and implementation of agro-infrastructure for
mega-farms of agricultural produce (with the disciplines of water intake &
conveyance, power distribution, earthworks, plantations, technical
irrigation, drainage, etc.).
· Experience within the areas of Rural and/or Agro-infrastructure
and Civil Works will be considered an asset/advantage.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in these roles in different projects
of a similar nature.
· Experience with professional and structured similar techniques,
ideally gained within a
multinational environment
· Experience in executing the role of Project Manager managing large
magnitude projects and controlling budgets and assets of 200-500millionUS$
with similar disciplines.
Education:
· Engineering disciplines with specialization in Project Management
or similar areas.
· MBA will be considered an asset
· Fluent in both Spanish and English
