Re: [indoexpat-uk] Unek-unek jadi Org Indonesian Expats: Sdh Sulit, sipersulit lagi ....

fasilitas mobil (mobil dibayarin perusahaan).
container / shipping dibayar perusahaan.
liburan 1-2 kali setahun dibayar perusahaan
Perkiraan income mereka, gaji mereka 3-4 kali gaji lokal.

Perkiraan saya dari budget para expat.
Jika allowance rumah dan utility bills dijatah £1800 per bulan (rumah dgn standard sewa £1500 sebulan
udah wajar).
kemudian mobil dijatah £200 per bulan. (sewa harian mobil baru kira-2 £5-7 sehari... kalau malas
mbersihin mobil, perlu ganti oli, bisa nukar mobil...)
kemudian, ditambah living allowance kira-2 £40-70 per day....

Kalau milis kita disebut indoexpat...
mungkin karna kita gak mau disebut TKI (Tenaga Kerja Indonesia).

Re: [indoexpat-uk] Unek-unek jadi Org Indonesian Expats: Sdh Sulit, sipersulit lagi ....

Asal siap sport jantung saja
setiap mau habis kontrak, kalau untung diperpanjang terus sampai bertahun-tahun - kalau apes

sekali. Dikasih meal allowance tapi setiap hari selalu dikasi voucher makan gratis sama perusahaan
lokal. Disewakan mobil Mazda Salon 626 full electric (11 tahun lalu mobil begini termasuk bagus). Gaji
Indonesia gak kemakan sama sekali, malah dinaikkan (lupa berapa %). Gak pernah mikir bayar listrik, gak
pernah mikir bayar air, gak pernah mikir belanja/masak padahal dapur ada lengkap dengan peralatan
masak/makan, gak pernah mikir bayar lain-lain. Tapi itu dulu, waktu masih bujangan. Kalau sekarang,
mikir 10x belum tentu berani ambil (walaupun pusing mikirin
utility bill sama tax yg terus naik) kecuali kalau kepepet.
Money is not everything.

[indoexpat-uk] Another Real Story of Indonesan Expats in the EU (SAD but TRUE)

saya meninggal dunia. Dia tinggalnya di salah satu EU countries.

Sedihnya saya tdk bisa kunjungi penguburannya krn saya tdk punya VISA ke negara tsb. Seperti sdh saya
jelaskan sebelumnya buat org indo melamar VISA bisa ambil waktu 6 migggu. SAD but TRUE, real story

Re: [indoexpat-uk] Another Real Story of Indonesan Expats in the EU (SAD but TRUE)

Sorry about your loss, my thought and prayer are with you and your family.

But, speaking about 'nasib', kemaren ini saya apply visa schengen
multi-entry ke Kedutaan Slovakia, dapet sampai February 2009. Lucky ?
Maybe, but probably more because I've been going back and forth to
Slovakia once a year for the past 4 years.
diperlukan banyak (salah satunya: 6 bulan Bank Statement terakhir).

Regards,
Bagus

[indoexpat-uk] Foreign worker limits introduced

----------------------

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7605455.stm

Foreign worker limits introduced

New measures aimed at cutting the number of foreign workers coming to the UK from outside the EU are due to be
announced later.

The types of businesses which can use non-EU workers because of skill or labour shortages will be listed.
It means employers whose jobs are not on the list will find it more difficult to bring in foreign workers in
future.
The government says this system is more effective than simply bringing in limits on overall numbers.
The shortage occupation list has been compiled by the Migration Advisory Committee.
Professor David Metcalf, the chairman of the Migration Advisory Committee, said that an employer would
have to meet three hurdles to be able to hire somebody from outside Europe.
"Firstly the job has got to be skilled, secondly there has got to be a shortage, and thirdly and perhaps most
importantly, it has to be sensible to bring a person in - there we are looking at the tension between the
short-run fix of bringing immigrants in and the long-run need to upskill the economy," he said.
The changes, which involved looking at 12 different indicators, will result in a more skilled labour
supply, he added.
According to the list, maths and science teachers are still needed, but teachers with other subjects will
face restrictions.
Midwives, social workers and IT technicians from outside the EU are all no longer needed, according to the
list.
Only care workers earning at least £8.80 an hour will be allowed to come to Britain from later this year - a
salary level most care-home owners will not be able to pay.
"It is so far above what the medium pay levels are within care homes for senior care workers, it is just not

Re: [indoexpat-uk] Foreign worker limits introduced

Skilled Ballet Dancers everyone ? or Skilled Chef ? :D
Maybe we should think about changing our occupation :)

Jadi inget 10 tahun lalu, waktu IT Specialist lagi seret-seretnya,
sampai-sampai Visa Kerja-ku di-ikutkan 'jalan tol', sebulan langsung
jadi.
On the hindsight, I think I was very lucky.

Cheers,
Bagus
