Hmm... orang sini memang 'pinter' bgt kalo soal nyari duit hehehe ...
Keringanan buat persyaratan ini jadinya spt 'serigala berbulu domba'
kalo dilihat dalam konteks yg lebih luas.

Persyaratan yang lingkupnya makin luas buat SEGS/FTS ini kayaknya
barengan dengan rencana home office menaikkan harga visa. Rencananya,
kenaikan ini bakalan dimulai bulan April 2007 ini (hehehe ... pas kan,
1 bulan sebelum perluasan SEGS/FTS?); baca linknya di

Tambahan lagi, kayaknya  'desperate' banget sampe2 persyaratan minimum
2:2 aja dihapus, etc ...  etc ...

Yang jadi pertanyaan: Apa memang demand pekerjaan yg sekarang ada itu
lagi bener2 kurang diminati, ya, oleh UK/EU applicants?

Di sisi lain, profesional seperti dokter medis imigran yg ada di UK
sekarang sepertinya merasa bakalan terancam dengan peraturan baru yang
ngasih prioritas buat UK/EU dokter. Baca aja nih, berita dokter asal
Pakistan yang sampe bunuh diri gara2 aturan baru tersebut:

Memang menarik, dengan International Graduate Scheme ini, makin ratusan ribu
undergrad dan non-degree students yang tadinya tidak eligible menjadi
eligible untuk bekerja selama setahun setelah lulus.

Hebatnya lagi, ini berlaku saat ini juga, artinya bagi yang lulus besok,
langsung bisa eligible.

Nah kalo teori konspirasi saya bunyinya begini:

- Selama ini student visa sudah jelas disalahgunakan untuk masuk UK, dan
trus kabur.
- Daripada begitu, mending dibolehkan saja sekalian apply untuk kerja
- Sehingga terdaftar, dapet ID card (mulai tahun depan) dlsb.
- Jadi mudah dilacak dan ditendang keluar kalo setelah setahun tidak bisa
pindah ke HSMP (Tier 1) atau work permit (Tier 2) :)

[indoexpat-uk] passport rusak

hallo,
minta tolong , ada yang pernah ngalamin passport covernya rusak gak ??
passport ku
sudutnya digit ama anjingku :( passport nya masih utuh sih , cuma di
bagian sudut cover depan di bagian yang ada nomor2 barcode nya rusak
:( kira2 bisa harus ganti passport baru gak ya ? takut juga ditolak di
airport pas mau check in

tolong tanya. Apa boleh memperpanjang passport setelah lewat expiry date-nya?
Passport saya habis june ini, tapi ada rencana ke London september ini, so saya prefer memperpanjang
passpor september ini.

Kok rencananya nggak seperti kebanyakan orang yang malah memperpanjang 6
bulan sebelum expired.
Anyway, aku nggak tahu sanksi nya apa, sepertinya nggak akan masalah buat
KBRI - London, yang penting Visa UK jangan expired.
