new user and I have lost the calander display in the middle panel

Hi,
I am an Australian user and I deleted a number of test items that Chandler has as default when you open your account.

I also deleted the group -- USA HOLIDAY, DATES (?? not sure of exact wording).

Once I did this - I have now lost my calender that should reside in the centre panel of the program.

I don't know how to get it back -- I would also like to subscribe to an Australian feed for school holidays and national days at this site -- and i would like some assistance about how to do this as well. This is the website -http://www.vic.gov.au/Victorian-School-Term-Dates.html     it has something called ICALL  -- i assume this is how you sync the program?

Many thanks and kind regards

danni

how to view all collection calanders in the same screen

Hi,

I am new and I love the Chandler experience.

But i am having some issues -- the biggest one is the following.

How do I show all of the collections on the same calender?

Is this something that I can do or do I need to put each item into a master list "collection" so that I can combine all my calenders.

does anyone know of an easier way or am I missing the boat?

Any help would be wonderful.

Many thanks
danni

Re: how to view all collection calanders in the same screen

Dear Danni,
You can do what you want, it's called overlaying the collection on the
current calendar. In calendar view, to the left of the collection name
you will see a little icon; if you move the mouse cursor over that it
will show either "overlay collection" (if it isn't already overlaid,
or "remove overlay" (if it is currently overlaid). If you click a
collection that isn't already overlaid, it will be overlaid and become
visible on the calendar. You can see which of the collections are
currently overlaid because the icon gets a coloured background to show
it.

Re: how to view all collection calanders in the same screen

Doug,
I don't think that anyone in an admin position reads this list; I'm
not sure that anyone is still really administering the list - it may
just be on autopilot. If the unsubscribe options at
http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/chandler-users/ aren't
working for you, then I think putting it on your spam blockers list of
addresses is about all you can do. Fortunately the traffic is
extrememly low these days.

Re: Getting daily events to pop up automatically eachmorning

I've learned by trial and error, that you have to put an alarm on them.  I then put them in 'Later', and when the alarm time comes, a little pop-up announces them (sometimes... ) and they move to the 'Now'.

Chandler isn't being supported anymore, so it can be pretty frustrating learning how it works.  It works fine for the simple things I want.

How is this done? We are new to Chandler and have various daily events that we would like to have "pop up" automatically as notifications each morning, rather than having to go into the calendar manually each day.

Lost collections...

Hiya everybody!

Anybody still around here? I'm still using Chandler every day since
about three years ago. :)

Just had my first glitch. When I fire up the Chandler desktop on my
home PC, the items show up just fine, but there are no collections. The
collections do show up on my work PC and on my Macbook. What's the best
way to get these things back?

Hello

My name is Alandus and I am a Marketing Administrator for TravelAdBuyers.com. We have a client that may be interested in advertising on your site http://blog.chandlerproject.org/author/rletness/. Is there a good person to contact about options and rates?

I greatly appreciate your help in routing me in the right direction.

Thanks again,

Resolved. WAS: Lost collections...

Following up about my previous post:

I uninstalled Chandler from my PC, and then reinstalled it, but
apparently uninstalling leaves the repository untouched. I searched
the Chandler Wiki and got some hints, but nothing definitive. I then
fired up Chandler again and went to "Debug -> Logging -> Log Window" and
found out that the repository is in the "AppData" directory. I hadn't
found it before because AppData is a hidden directory, at least on
Vista. Sigh...

OK, I uninstalled Chandler, removed the "Open Source Application
Foundation" directory from AppData and then reinstalled and subscribed
to my Hub account and did a sync and I'm back up and running.

Regards,
Doug
