Cups doesn't work with print server anymore

Hi,

Since I installed a newer Cups (1.4.6) I cannot print using Cups anymore. My
printer is connected to a router with built-in print lpd server. Printing
outside Cups using slpr still works fine.
iptrace/ipformat shows that Cups uses snmp to query the lpd server, which it
doesn't support. Googling, I did not find a way to disable the snmp backend.
Is there a way to configure cups to work the old way?
Cups 1.4.5 worked Ok, so probably did not use snmp.

Try backlevelling \cups\lib\cups\backend\lpd.exe from 1.4.6 to the one
that came with CUPS 1.3.x

For some reason, the cups 1.4.x lpd.exe is broken on OS/2. For 1.4.5 -
I think I remembered to include the one from CUPS 1.3.x

CUPS 1.4.8

Hi All,

Have uploaded CUPS 1.4.8 to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ecsports/files/CUPS/cups-1.4.8-os2-20110831.zip/download

Download is smaller as cups.dll is included so executables are
dynamically linked.

I've also remembered to include the CUPS 1.3 version of lpd.exe so lpd
printing should work out of the box.

Testprint works fine here.

Cheers,

Paul
