Re: eCUPS-USB
I just discovered this group yesterday. Until CUPS supports Samsung printers, you could see if this: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/system/drivers/printer/samsung_gdidrv.zip works for you. It's Ghostscript 8.13 with the Samsung "Smart GDI" driver compiled in, and printmon. I haven't been able to use it with my Samsung ML-2510 (which works fine in Linux) because I haven't found out how to set up printmon for a USB printer, and no matter what I try, whenever I try to run it, it dies with this message: PRINTMON: printer queue redirection device monitor DosMonReg error code: 8 The Samsung "Smart GDI" driver (http://www.openprinting.org/download/printing/samsung-gdi/) is for printers that understand Samsung SPL1, which should include printers that understand Samsung SPL2. SpliX is specifically for printers that understand SPL2. It would be nice if either or both of these drivers were added to CUPS. The source code in samsung_gdidrv.zip might help with that.
