Update

Hi All,

I know things have been a little quiet from my side, but things have
been really busy with life and all getting in the way of things.

Part of this busyness comes down to the company I work for being in
the
midst of launching several new products - ie
http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleDetail.aspx?ArticleID=42714&v
f=2 & http://www.pontiacg8.com

Anyway, I think I've found the biggest clue yet as to why pages
sometimes fail to eject.

Looking at the error_log I noticed the following:
D [25/Aug/2007:20:18:52 -09-30] [Job 28] Gutenprint printed total
1785793
bytes
<snip>
D [25/Aug/2007:20:18:52 -09-30] [Job 28] lpd_command 03 1785759
dfA824localhost

lpd thinks there is 1785759 bytes to be printed - whereas gutenprint
sent
1785793 bytes - not much of a difference but probably enough to lose
the formfeed character.

I confirmed under linux that the gutenprint bytes and lpd bytes should
match.

Here in the UK we sometimes forget there are car makers other than the
big European and Japanese brands...

I guess the main markets for Holden are Australia and USA?

Hope the product is reasonably successful.

Was just googling around because of a CUPS problem on Unix and I came
across this page:

[Fwd: New CUPS for OS/2 & eComStation build released]

Hi All,

A new package for using CUPS on OS/2 & eComStation is now available from
  http://news.gmane.org/gmane.org.netlabs.ecups.devel

New in this release:
1) Updated CUPS to v1.3.0
2) Fixed a Gutenprint bug that stopped the last xx bytes of output being
sent to the backend daemon, and on some printers left the print job
'stuck' and the busy light flashing.

Note that it currently isn't straightforward to setup CUPS to be able to
print from OS/2 applications, and currently it is only possible to print
to printers connected using either the LPD or IPP protocols using CUPS.

Hi Paul

Having just read your response in the Update thread I can only say "that
was fast work" :-)

PIN & PPDENC Sources in SVN

Hi all,

I've finally found some time and motivation to put the sources of these 2 utilities in SVN
one of the major hurdles was to circumvent the DDK build system, which probably was great at its time, but is
giving me headaches right now.
the sources in SVN are the modified versions I created to support larger PPD's and UTF-8 files.
its needs VAC308.

any additions diffs etc are more then welcome
