Subject: [cutweb] Pre Canalway Cavalcade Barbecue

Hi Folks

For the last couple of years we have done a pre-Cavalcade barbecue on the
Thursday evening at Willowtree Park.

Being short of time this year and learning that some of the expected
attendees cannot make it, we are wondering whether it is worth doing this
year.
Unless we get some expressions of interest in the next week or so, we will
regrettably have to call it off.

JOhn

NB Ernest (that one, not the other one)

My indecision is final.

Yeah, that was me at Upper Heyford, just starting on the spring cleaning.

4 days on and we've almost reached Cropredy. Busy days...

Help when you need it

Just a little info. which may help members when their usually smoothly moving vessel doesn't do so. We are
currently at Market Drayton. Yesterday we realised the cabin batteries were not charging nor would the
Eberspacher work. I did what I could with limited knowledge and ability, but to no avail. From another
boater we heard of Ian Skoyles who is a mobile marine engineer. A quick call and he was on scene later in the
afternoon. All problems sorted in about 20 minutes. We were greatly relieved, particularly as the cost
was surprisingly low. Ian has attended problems all over the waterways. His number is 07795/75901 or
079095/81429. This isn't submitted as an advert, but as a source of help to other members who might have a
problem. Safe cruising.

Maybe we should have a page where we can record all these people who
have personal recommendations. Maybe the members area of our web site?
