World IPv6 Survey Extended to 7 August

Our thanks to the 248 individuals from the ARIN region who have
completed the 2011 IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey. If you have not
yet participated, there is still time! The survey has been extended to 7
August 2011, and is available at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GlobalIPv6survey2011.

Your feedback is crucial to expanding the understanding of where the
Internet community is moving, and what can be done to ensure readiness
for the widespread adoption of IPv6. The survey is composed of 23
questions and can be completed in about 15 minutes. For those without
IPv6 allocations or assignments, or who have not yet deployed IPv6, the
questions will be fewer in number.

ARIN will be sharing the results of the 2011 IPv6 Deployment Monitoring
Survey, but if you are curious about the results for the 2010 Global
IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey you can view them at:

http://www.ipv6monitoring.eu/reports/Global%20IPv6%20Survey%20Summary%20v2.pdf

On behalf of ARIN and GNKS Consulting, we thank you for your time and
interest in completing this survey. If you have any questions concerning
the survey, please send an email to info@...

Please Verify Your Abuse POCs

ARIN is preparing to implement Policy 2010-14: Standardize IP
Reassignment Registration Requirements in late August.

When this policy is implemented, all existing Organization records will
be modified to enforce this new policy requirement, and all new
Organization registration records (Org IDs) will need to include an
Abuse POC (in addition to the already required Admin and Tech). ARIN
Online, REST, and templates

If an existing Org ID does not have an Abuse POC already listed, the
existing Tech POC (s) will also become the Abuse POC(s) by default. We
strongly urge all customers to review and update their organization
information data, and to add an Abuse POC if one is not currently
listed. Again, if a new Abuse POC is not added to the record, the
existing Tech POC (s) will also become the Abuse POC(s) by default.

If there are any questions, please contact the Registration Services
department at hostmaster@...
