Dear Sir,
I am trying
to impliment thinstation with windows 2000 server. I am having some problem with
it. I am very thankful to you if you can spend some time for me and give me
solution.
I have installed windows 2000 server in my server.
==> Setup win 2000 as workgroup with
terminal services. with Service Pack 4.
==> I
had selected Remote installation to enable windows builtin TFTP
server.
==> I
had configure DHCP and DNS.
==>
Change the path of TFTPD root directory to c:\tftpdroot in
registery.
==>
Copy thinstation.nbi and other files to c:\tftpdroot
directory.
==>
Rename the downloaded thinstation.conf.buildtime to
thinstation.conf
I had generated thinstation.nbi and other
files from this site. you can have a look to the files also, its lying at your
server at IP address is 203.178.203.67 the url to download thinstation.nbi is as
below.
When I am booting my client with
floppy disk.
Client is intel celeron with 810 onboard display
and RTL8139 Ethernet card.
1) Resolve IP from dhcp. (
My server/DHCP ip is
192.168.0.1)
2) download (get) Thinstation.nbi from
server.
3) loading all modules.
4) finaly it shows
Welcome to Thinstation
2.0.2
and after aprox 1 min. it gives following error
message.
XIO: fatel IO error 104
(Connection reset by pear) on X Server ":0.0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed)
with 0 events remaining.
I had tryed the same thing with Windows 2003 Server
also.
Can you guide me what is the problem with my setup?
Is something missing?
Is there any complete checklist to impliment
Thinstation?
