Problems with ICA and cAPS lOCK ;o)
Hi,
We've been having problems with Caps Lock and Shortcut Keys under Citrix. For example if you press Ctrl V in excel in works only if the Caps Lock is off.
From what I've tested it effect Beta 6 through to Beta 11, I'm guessing it's been broken since Beta 4 when Thinstation changed X versions.
In the wfclient.ini I have changed the following lines:
[Xdpy - The XFree86 Project, Inc]
All=Caps Scroll Num
[Xdpy - X11/NeWS - Sun Microsystems Inc.]
All=Caps Scroll Num
to:
[Xdpy - The XFree86 Project, Inc]
All=Caps Scroll Num
[Xdpy - X.Org Foundation]
All=Caps Scroll Num
[Xdpy - X11/NeWS - Sun Microsystems Inc.]
All=Caps Scroll Num
Cheers
Paul

It appears that printers w/o postscript-support wont speak until they get PCL. Anyone got PCL to work (using postscript or whatever) to print from within citrix on the local par-port or USB? Or maybe just renaming PRINTER_#_NAME to some printername that speaks PCL might do the trick? Please help! Christofer Algotsson
TW2StopwatchMinimum
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following in the changelog there are these entries:
Thinstation 2.1beta1(Many Authors & Contributors)
Release Date: 31/05/2004
* Changed TW2StopWatch parmeter in wfclient.ini to 100, 50 causes problems
Thinstation 2.0(Many Authors & Contributors)
Release Date: 05/05/2004
* Added TW2StopwatchMinimum=50 to wfclient.ini, fix from Paul Whittaker and
tested by Anders Troback
When I search the archives I can find the orignal thread suggesting the fix but not the thread containing why 50 causes problems. Does anyone remember any of the problems that it caused? Even partial answers might be helpful...
Thanks in advance
Paul

screensaver values
Miles, didn't you promise (or at least was understanding about) having the Section "ServerFlags" values (screensaver) in packages/xorg6/lib/X11/XF86Config-Xorg.tpl as parameters in ts.conf? Still not in beta11. Mike -- -- Thinstation FAQ maintainer http://thinstation.sourceforge.net - a light, full featured linux based thin client OS

Subject: [Thinstation-developer] Kernel 2.6.8 and TS2.1b9-11
Hi All
I have installed kernel 2.6.8 successfully in Thinstation 2.1b11 but still have some minor problems with X
Logfile looks like :
sh: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xkbcomp: not found #(keyboard mappings for de is not OK?????)
sh: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xkbcomp: not found
(EE) Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
(EE) Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
Running ica
wfica -icaroot //lib/ICAClient -nosplash -desc "Desktop"
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Warning: Unable to load any usable fontset
Warning: Input Method Open Failed
On older pc´s the reconnect button doesn´t reconnect to Citrix (except you wait about 10 seconds)
Also sound is my problem, OSS works fine but ALSA doesn´t. (don´t know much about ALSA)
If Miles releases the new source with Xorg included I can maybe fix it
So I am just waiting to get the new source for 2.1

RE: screensaver values
I (and a couple of other fellows) were after having: "blank time", "standby time", "suspend time" and "off time" as parameters in ts.conf next to resolution, color depth etc.. Seems useful and not too hard to implement.
