Hi,

I'm just trying to install the newest version and have some trouble:
while ./configure --prefix=/opt/smokeping there I get an error:
(...)
checking checking for perl module 'RRDs'... Failed
checking checking for perl module 'FCGI'... Ok
(...)

and -of course- the configuration is aborted

I've installed the newest rrd and had no problem:

Graph measurements

Hi,

Is there an option to change/covert the graph measurements from microseconds (us) to milliseconds (ms)?

Hi Fernando,

you can install the new version and copy the config file ...

the location of all the data is in the config file, so that should
work ...

Makefiles and DESTDIR support

Hello,

I've started the process of packaging Smokeping 2.6.1 for Alpine Linux and found that DESTDIR support is partially broken for make installs.  For some directories, an extra $DESTDIR is prepended to the installation path.  The attached patches remove the extra DESTDIR.  Thanks for the great app, we all appreciate the hard work that goes into it,

smokeping on GitHub?

Hi Tobi,

Just curious to know if any consideration has been given to moving the
smokeping source to GitHub?

I'd imagine that there might be a few active users out there (myself
included) that would be willing to get involved and contribute, and
having the source on GitHub would certainly make that a lot easier.

cheers,
Darren

http://oss.oetiker.ch/smokeping-demo/?target=Customers.OP.johan

Hello Everyone,

http://oss.oetiker.ch/smokeping-demo/?target=Customers.OP.johan

If you look at this graph, there is package loss about once a day (blue lines). That is 1-5% out of the 144 runs a day.

However, as you go down on the page... at 400 days at the bottom, whole graph is BLUE!

Averages are corret, but they are not being graphed properly.

I have just started with SmokePing (which is a PITA to install on a RedHat). Is it so hard to roll an rpm?

Is there also any templates for it? Included ones are... well, just not for our times.

Jenny

If I remember corectly, the loss consolidation function is using
MAX somewhere along the line, so even little losses will stick
around through consolidation ...
