TelnetIOSPing and IOSPing

Hi everyone

I’m trying to use the TelnetIOSPing and IOSPing functionalities to get remote_router_1 to ping host_1 (10.10.0.2).

I’ve setup the probes as indicated on the website, but they don’t seem to work. FPing works fine.

If I ping the target from remote_router_1 directly, it works.

Below the output of the debug.

Does anyone have any idea why this is not working?

I haven't used those features, but I have had trouble with changes in
the user interface which Smokeping uses to talk to binaries such as
fping, where Smokeping called the binary with switches that the binary
didn't recognize.  This depends both on the version of Smokeping, and
the version of the binaries it uses.  The binaries that Smokeping uses
don't all seem to be as stable as one might like (and Smokeping seems
a little fragile in this regard) but if you have the latest versions
of Smokeping and the relevant binaries you might have more luck. :)

Having said that I haven't investigated, and I'm not sure that your log
points to this kind of problem.  I'd suggest adding a little more output
to the logs by modifying the Perl scripts which write them, to make the
cause clearer.

smokeping-zoom.js fails with Firefox-3.5

Am not sure which JS file it is exactly which doesn't like Firefox 3.5.
I get no errors in Firebug (also tried it with Firebug disabled).
The select just doesn't happen at all.

I can't find anything in the Firefox 3.5 release nots to suggest things
which are incompatible.

FTPtransfer probe not work

Hi

i have a problem with a FTPtransfer probe.

i have set Target in this way:

+ mytarget
probe = FTPtransfer # if the default probe is something else
host = testhost
localaddr = testhost

and Probes

+FTPtransfer
mode = get # mandatory
srcfile = ftp://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/ls-lR.patch.gz
timeout = 110 # mandatory
step = 300
min_interval = 10
passive = yes
offset = 0%
pings = 5

But the graphics of ftptransfer not appear.
I think that the probes can't download the file from ftp and naturally 
can't do the graphic.

i used as test the italian debian ftp repository.

Other probes functioning correctly, an example FTPlatency

What is the problem in my configuration?

I'm seeing the same behavior in 3.5.  For what it's worth, you are able to highlight, but not zoom in the nightly build, currently 3.6.1a.

hmmm I am at a loss at the moment ... it seems that the javascript
gets executed, since all the additional elements get inserted into
the DOM tree. I guess there is some change in the eventhandling in
ff3.5 which breaks the libraries I am using ... :-(

It's strange; almost as if it's running too quickly.  Putting a breakpoint in prototype.js with firebug just about anywhere after line 52, and letting it sit for a second before resuming will allow the zoom to work on that page only (in 3.5).  I tried going to the newest versions of cropper, prototype, and scriptalicious, but no change.


Firefox is using Tracemonkey now with 3.5, but I'm not sure how this affects it.

hmmm that sounds like a race-condition, maybe some behaviour which
should actually be triggered by an event (or a different event) as
it relies on some condition which used to be valid when the script
rean slower but now is only valid later ....

Cannot zoom when using Firefox 3.5

I just installed Firefox version 3.5 and noticed that I am unable to use the AJAX based
Interactive Graph Zooming any more.  Anyone know why?
