HPing Probe

Hi,

A few weeks ago, someone posted an HPing probe to this list. I thought
I'd saved the email, but apparently not. Doesn't seem to be available on
the Smokeping site either. Could the author please resend the original
email to me?

One more question...

If I want to start alerting and sending traps based on thresholds, how
would I go about setting that up? Even if you can point me in the right
direction, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry, I simpy assumed you were using Smokeping 2.x.
In 1.x the configuration syntax is different, ioshost was
configured per "target" in an additional PROBE_CONF section,
not sure if is possible to set this in the "probes" configuration.

Here is an excerpt of a working 1.43 conf with default FPing:

Hi Daniel,

you have to configure the Alerts section and thenn specify which
alerts you want for your probes ...

make sure you use smokeping 2.x and not some old 1.x version ...
it has gotten much better

Thanks Cougar pionnering this. Smokeping version 2 probably fulfill our
wishes. I am using:

1) fping-2.4b2_to.tar.gz with the patch from

2 columns possible?

Hi all!

I now have a group where 16 smokeping graphs show in a list. How do I
get this grouped in 2 columns?
