Someone know if is possible to get timestamp for every packet sent using fping?

Any 'getting started' guide out there?

I'm looking for a guide to help me with some basic smokeping setup.
I've got it up and running now, giving me some graphs that look
quite pretty, but I'm stumped on some details like threshold
warnings and probes.

Being a novice to smokeping and also to linux, I've found it really
difficult to comprehend some of the documentation.  It seems to
assume I know more than I do.  If you know of any newbie guild
available for smokeping, I'd be obliged if you'd send me a link!

Empty Alerts?

In the configuration reference it says:

+alerts

A comma separated list of alerts to check for this target. The alerts have
to be setup in the Alerts section. Alerts are inherited by child nodes. Use
anempty alerts definition to remove inherited alerts from the current target
and ist childern. 

There is on host in a group that is undergoing extensive routing
maintenance, and I want to exclude it from alerting when it goes down, etc."

Typos in the above are a direct copy and paste from the reference, by the
way.

I tried adding:

alerts =

in the config (an empty definition) but smokeping won't start, it's asking
for a comma separated list of alerts.

How do I exclude one host from getting alerted (but I still want it
graphed)?

lines around  955 of Smokeping.pm should read

alerts    => {
              _doc => 'Comma separated list of alert names',
              _re => '(([^\s,])(,[^\s,]+)*)?',
              _re_error => 'Comma separated list of alert names',
             },

Deported rrd files

Hello,

Somebody could tell me if there is a possibility to generate the rrd
files on a machine, and then retrieve them from the web server to display
the results ?

Note that it is important that both machines use the same os ...
else you will have to dump and restore the files ...
