Hi again Nicola,

Now I am REALLY confused!

1. Logged on to the Terminal Server console as my test user. Ran vncpasswd. It
said that it was using /root/.vnc/passwd! Puzzled, but pressing on, I provided
the password for my test user (didn't bother with a RO password). It told me
that it was truncating it to 8 char. Again, puzzled by what the consequences of
this are, but in true myopic style, I pressed on.

I now had a /root/.vnc/passwd file, which I copied and overwrote the
$HOME/.vnc/sesman_$USERNAME_passwd.

And low and behold, when tested from a remote client, using my test user
credentials, it worked! Working, meaning, that I now get an xrdp login dialog
AND a KDE login dialog that requires the same user credentials to be entered. Is
this to be expected?

2. Always wishing to understand what/how it works, I deleted all copies of
*/.vnc/*.passwd and tested again. You can guess my surprise when the remote

Mmm I am not sure... I never tested with KDE. I have to check.

Because Xvnc was still running, I think. So you reconnected to
something already opened, did you?

Hi,

I ask myself the same question !
If I find the answer, I will share with you ;-)

Perhaps a developer of this project has the answer for this problem ?

Hi Sergio,

It looks like you have km-080c.ini in the right place.
Can you send this file to me?

Preparing 0.6.0 release

Hi all,
I would like to make a plan for releasing xrdp 0.6.0.
It will be a bugfix release (even if we changed major version number)
fixing most annoying issues and introducing some little features and
enhancements.

Here a (draft) to-do list:

1. Include in the tarball also some more keymaps. So users, please
send us new keymaps files to include!
2. Update the documentation (I am working on it)
3. Update the webpage and unify www.xrdp.org
http://xrdp.sourceforge.net in order to make a single website.
4. Check compiling on different arch (I can test only on Linux!)

(optional tasks)

1. Migrate the repository (only) to gitorious (merge-request
management is easier)
2. Open a user/tech wiki
3. Migrate to CMake?

thanks,
Nicola

Yes, this seems like a good list.

The current git version is a bit unstable at the moment.
I'll get this sorted out shortly.

I installed this keymap file and all the keys seem to work correctly.
I only tested on the login screen. Do you see these same problems on
the login screen?
What application do you see this behavior?
