Hello *, I'm trying to use opexftp to transfer files in parallel using several bluetooth usb adapters, in order to serve a high number of devices simultaneously. However, while hcitool does have an option to specify which adapter to use, obexftp seems to lack such an option. Do you think it's a big amount of work for me to add it? (please keep in mind that I'm not an obexftp developer although I do know some C/C++). Hello, I already wrote an Obex client/server program using OpenOBEX that works fine with latest stable version (1.3). I downloaded latest cvs version, and my program is no more able to send data. In client mode, after connection request it receives an OBEX_EV_REQDONE with mode set to OBEX_MODE_SERVER while I am waiting for OBEX_MODE_CLIENT (as previously and in obex_event() function of apps/obex_test.c). I wrote a little patch that fixes this (my program is able to send data with it). Is it OK ? Hello Christian, I understand the change for parse or link error events but it sounds strange to me for request done event, as I think that a request done is linked to client or server mode. For example in the obex_test sample. In client mode, after each OBEX request a call to syncwait() (in apps/obext_test_client.c) is made to wait for request done event. This event is dispatched in obex_event() (in apps/obex_test.c) based on mode parameter (set by obex_deliver_event() (in lib/obexmain.c) based on state value). For client, it should call client_done() (in apps/obext_test_client.c) to break the loop in syncwait(). But with the new behavior, request done event is always dispatched to server side function server_done() and client loop in syncwait() does not stop. For me there are 2 alternatives: - the sample application should be updated, as with new behavior it will not unblock the OBEX_HandleInput loop - or something like my patch should be applied to the library. Hi, Does anyone tried/tested the Siemens MC60 with openobex over USB? It doesn't work for me... A long time ago (2 years?, I really can't remember), before I knew about this openobex project, I ported the slink tool from the siefs package to my OpenBSD box. I didn't bother to port the fs bit, and didn't bother to release the changes upstream. This tool did work more or less then, with some tweaking and resetting after each upload. But lost the slink tool in the many system upgrades I did. It must be somewhere in my backups... Then a few months I found the openobex + openftp packages in the OpenBSD tree, and tried those, without luck. Then read something about S45 compatibility, requiring a recent version, so then I grabbed the following sources: openobex-1.3 (minor build fixes needed in lib/usbobex.h and .c, probably an issue with locating /usr/local/include/usb.h and some strcpy's really need to be strncpy)(Continue reading)
Hi, basicly it should work. You are referring to baud rate (which is auto-detected in the BFB code and 19200 is the default) but also write about USB. What is your exact setup, if you use USB the cable type is important (I know of three different cables -- active and passive TTY<->USB and pure USB). The S45 support is the origin of obexftp and the bfb lib. There are three cables, the pure serial one (DCA-500), the USB-to-serial one (DCA-510) and a pure USB one (DCA-540). For >= S65, all three types should work (with some known problems, see Wiki). However, for the MC60, the DCA-540 will not work, only the DCA-510. (that is all noted in the Wiki). The baudrate is auto-detected by the phones since S45 with firmware revision >=21 but BFB add additional restrictions (like being at 19200 when entering BFB mode) Last time I checked with my S55, old BFB mode did not work well, don't remember exactly what was wrong. For the newer phone, the Plain OBEX mode works, though. I may take a look at it if there is a need for it.
