Well, I have a pptpd server running, and windows clients can connect to it with no problem and download any and all data. But when I try to connect via a linux client, I get this error in the pptpd server: Dec 1 11:34:09 vpn pptpd[4534]: GRE: read(fd=6,buffer=8055600,len=8260) from network failed: status = -1 error = Message too long Dec 1 11:34:09 vpn pptpd[4534]: CTRL: GRE-tunnel has collapsed (GRE read or PTY write failed (gre,pty)=(6,5)) This occurs when I try to download certain web pages. Simple pings can traverse the link quite easily before I try to get a webpage. Thank you for your help, sorry if this should have gone to the pptp client mailing list. -- -- Paul N.
